OK, can I caution you on the anger issues. Just because the "source" of the anger issues is gone doesn't mean that the anger issues aren't still deep down in there. Anger always has a trigger. It is how we deal with anger that defines the issues. Punching walls, cars, and breaking things is not a healthy outlet for anger. Likely she saw flashes of this anger and that is what prompted her to use them to her advantage by manipulating you into those kinds of outbursts.
Think about it this way: everyone gets angry, but not everyone punches a wall to deal with it.
P.S. I say all of this because I can relate. I used to be a wall puncher in my younger days.
