Thought I would post an update. Things have been up and down. H has contacted me when drunk and emotional saying he still loves me and does not want a divorce. The day after when he sobers up he apologises and says he is confused. He is still seeing OW. Says he does not want to divorce and does still love and miss me. He does not want to work on the marriage and says he thinks if we got back together we have too much baggage. I am getting on with life.
He lives about 10 minutes away in a house he bought. Beginning of April he got in touch saying his life was a mess he hadn’t ever wanted to see anyone else and wanted me as his wife. He told me he loved me and didn’t want to be without me and wound sort things out. He apologised and said he had to sort things out but had committed to going away with the woman he was seeing. He went away with her and then told her he wanted to be friends supposedly. On his return he said he had decided he didn’t want to be with anyone and had to concentrate on himself. We rarely speak - only on the phone about the children who aren’t seeing him and he still says he doesn’t want to divorce. I am getting on with life and am perfectly happy. I can’t see things changing so it is probably going to end in divorce but part of me still has some hope.
