I can understand how, if the marriage is feeling stale and predictable and a bit boring, one could find oneself attracted to the newness of someone else's stories and personality, and how that might lead to one being in an EA without realizing that is where one was headed.
I don't understand how one doesn't do whatever one has to do to back away once one realizes where one is.
