The last thread was close to locking (thanks cadet) so time for a new one.

So w had a good few hours sleeping and after I finished work I cooked pizza for s and when w came down she said she'd like some actually so made a salad and dressing with cheese coleslaw with white wine and to follow coffee and cheesecake with strawberries.

We had a great sit down and talk, a lot about her mum and her. W confirmed she is for the first time optimistic and thinking of plans for our future together. She's not there yet but is leaning to us being together. As of this evening we're likely going to dinner next week and all three of us are taking a break together in June to a friend of hers for a few days. Again a huge lot not mentioned here her feelings on many things. Right now she says she likes having her space for a while which is fine but she can see us being together in the future.

About 8 we headed back to the flat watched some TV and then got s to bed. Helped out cleaning the wft litter to save w's back and about 11 headed back home.

So cautiously optimistic tonight no we're not in my opinion at piecing yet as w has yet to commit and I think needs to work out issues with her m first but edging closer, yes watching expectations but hope has had a boost and as the thread says keeping on keeping on.

Tomorrow not planning much bar work and getting back to my exercise regime before S's tutoring Saturday.

Lots to process tonight but in a good way
Cheers all

All good edz. Very happy for you.

But yes it may still change, the squirrel may startle!!! You know this but no expectations has to be your mantra.

Keep on keeping on, its moved you such a long way from where you were and irrespective of how things play out, current edz is a good and honourable man who has really used this situation to grow for the better

Top work smile

Morning all

Bit of another overcast one today but still warm. Up exercise schedule back in place and feeling good nice crimson top on today that I like and just getting on with the day.

Off for a walk at lunchtime to get some photos printed and just updating a laptop for s/w. Not much from w since last night bar a deal email she thought i'd be interested in but that doesnt worry me nowadays, she's getting on with things too. She needs to work through this issue with her mum and it goes much, much deeper than our m but thats her business Im here if she wants me.

Meantime work and possibly some GAL swimming tonight, not sure if s is coming along yet we shall see.

Many thanks all

Edz

Thanks Gan

not at piecing yet, w was just resting here but we're moving forward. Just have to be patient and accept she needs her space which for now means the flat things will change when she's ready still could have to take steps back but its part of the dance I suppose smile

We are going to get some plants and things for the house on Sunday, w suggested a local place that also has a nice little cafe so the three of us are off there for the afternoon.

Today s is coming over about 4-5, tomorrow his tutoring which w cant come along to due to garage work with mil/fil (as I said dont want part of that fun although Im here to support w if she needs me and, importantly wants to come to me for support) and as I say Sunday plants smile

Just been for a walk and had some nice pics printed up, s as a baby, s and i this week on our day trip out and a couple of w creeping in got some nice frames as well.

Not at the destination yet but at least we seem to be on the same path now, just got to keep moving forwards!

Cheers

Thanks Dawn

just tempering my expectations right now. I know w wont be moving from that flat in the immediate future she's not ready yet and so Im not pushing. She's accepting we *could* be together and thinking of what that would look like but she also pulls back like the tide, I just need to be patient smile

She dropped s off this afternoon and was commenting on pans etc and apropos nothing said she's happy in the flat right now - I wonder was she trying to convince me or her, I just validated and moved on, I'll take the positives such as upcoming sunday and waiting on a day next week for dinner and a break in June.

Ultimately it took a long time for her to get to the stage of leaving, I know it will take her time to accept coming forward with me if/when she does so slowly does it. Edz has to be a patient Edz (today he's just a very tired one its been a busy week! smile )

Thanks all, I apreciate the positive vibes

Cheers
