Rant away. I can totally relate. (My H went from cooking me dinner almost every night to giving our D Chinese take out and cookies every week, and eating out almost every meal.) And I get the exact same, "I don't want to hurt you." In my head, im like, "yeah, well, we don't always get what we want!"

I hope the coaching conversation will help. I thought Chuck was really helpful to me, and it sounds like we have some similar sentiments. So maybe he (or someone similar) could be helpful to you too.

It's totally understandable to be frustrated about the house. You went into that investment together! I think to myself all the time, "I didn't sign up to do this alone!" But I have found a lot of strength from all the times i have just put on my BGP and gotten it done. Repairs, changing lightbulb with a high ladder, taking out the garbage, keeping food in the house, etc etc.
You got this, Maybell.

Oh, the house, yeah. We closed on it after he started his affair. But when we put the offer down it was perfect for us. I have a love-hate relationship with this house.

Chuck was nice but basically told me to smile and laugh more. Which is what I was trying to get to when I said I wanted to be warmer with him. I think I'll get more help with the second session next week.

Do I have the strength to do all this?
