Hi Roy,

Just checking in on your thread. I am not on here too much anymore, as there is really nothing to report. I have virtually no contact with H. We only talk when it has to do with D16 or financial matters. I too struggle along this walk with you, and know that God is directing each step we take as long as we let Him!

(((HUGS)))

smile Thanks for stopping by. I spent the weekend with my kids on kind of a mini-vacation. Bought them their school supplies and some clothes. After we got back, they asked if I could spend the night to see them off to school for their first day. After they went to bed, my wife and I stayed up till about 2AM, visiting. Just us being us. I t was heaven on a plate smile

Not much to report...Well actually, I have been hearing from her more often , here lately. We communicate at least once a day now(ish). Trying not to get my hopes to high. But is very difficult not to, that's where my Faith is smile

Not much to report here either. I do feel I am very detached from H right now. I feel I have finally let go and let God!! I feel joy in my heart knowing that God is totally in control!

So the past few days have been a struggle. Especially tonight for some damn reason. My family all thinks I'm crazy (related story). Not crazy as in "We the jury find the defendant" but crazy anyway. I know what my marriage is worth. I'll not give up. Can't even bring myself to take off my ring. I've been asked, rather pointedly, by some of my divorced female friends why I haven't. "Why take it off, when I'm still devoted. I didn't file." I know, pretty sappy tonight aren't I? Well, I'm good with it. smile

Hey, Roy. I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations. I think a lot of us as LBS have to deal with well-meaning family and friends who can't understand why we just don't give up. I honestly think their concerns come from a place of love, and they are just tired of seeing us hurt. Remember that you owe no one an explanation for your choices. If you are at peace, that's what matters. No one knows what you are going through other than you. They cannot put themselves in your shoes and honestly know what they would do in your situation. I know you pray about your situation and care deeply about following God's will for your life. Again, as long as you are at peace with what you are doing, then I'd stay the course.

So, tonight at work, I asked the Lord if He wanted me to give up on this. I don't want to, but sometimes the hurt makes it hard to see my goals. Out of the blue, about an hour later, m wife and kids dropped by. Made my goal a whole lot easier to focus on! Thank You, Father in Heaven! He works in mysterious ways! And sometimes not!

Been in a bit of a funk lately. It's been a year since my wife filed for divorce. On the plus side, the state moved it to the dismissal docket, meaning if not settled in 60 days, it's dismissed. Doesn't save my marriage, just stops a divorce.....

May your days be many and grand,
And the good Lord hold you gently in His hand.
