Hi Craig, Long time since we talked. I hope you remember me (the idiot formerly known as ral819) I have to agree with Jack. It sounds like you need to stay out of your X's tornado. She is obviously still in a fog and your getting sucked into her tornado every time you see her. Movin on time is here my friend. Keep contact about the kids only and sever the rest. This is about you now. I'm on a path toward D myself. My STBX finally filed. She wouldn't respond to me unless it was about the S11. Now she tries to be nice and communicate that she has filed. She sees her freedom. This is her journey and I'm letting her fly. I still have feelings for her but, No More Doormat... Good luck, Be Strong.

Actually there is a drug call prolastin, that is for the genetic lung disorder that I have, you take it once a month intraveneously.Only problem , 40,000.00 a year. I am not sure if my insurance will cover it. the disease is incurable, this drug just slows down the deteration of the lungs. Thank you for your prayers.

That sucks that the drug is so expensive. I didnt know non-smokers got emphysema. Do some research on your own - you never know what you will find.

I have a progressive neuromuscular disease. No cure. But, it is what it is, right? Just have to pray, live a healthy life, exercise and hope for the best. Science keeps making enormous strides and God is always looking out.

Hang in there.

Craig,
I'm very sorry to hear about your medical condition. What type of work do you do? Are you around paint and chemical fumes, dust, construction work? What you have doesn't necessarily come from being a smoker, you could have been around someone who smokes, thus the second hand smoke. What about asbestos?

I don't mean to pry, but you could have been exposed to some other type of chemical that hasn't helped your condition.

Please take care of yourself.

Snodderly,

Thank you, I work at a desk, so I don't really have any exposure to anything on a regular basis. I discoverd I had this 7 years ago, and honestly just living , getting colds, etc. , will wear down your lungs if you have this disease. My mother died from this at 42. She smoked 2-3 packs a day.So I was exposed at an early age until I was 16. I live in an area where the air is clean. I believe the Lord was taking care of me when I moved up here many years ago.Yes i have to avoid second hand smoke, getting sick, chemicals etc.Right now it is more of a hassle. Because my list of cannot do is getting larger than my can do list.
