Wait! What! 1:15,000? Damn, I find that, um, not reassuring at all. Exercise and eating healthy for me.

OK, so it was an overall incidence of 1:15000, but as I recall (haven't read that particular study in a few months), of the six cases of awareness, four involved cardiac cases. In lower risk patients (i.e. not cardiac, OB, or trauma patients, in whom one might intentionally use a lighter anesthetic), the incidence drops to ~1:42000.

Well, the other thing to keep in mind is that the clinical definition of anesthesia awareness encompasses a wide spectrum of experiences ranging from vague recollection of some event during the procedure to the full-fledged scenario depicted in the film.

EDIT: Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread CVA. Enough of the gas related stuff...

Hey CVA,

Scrolling through your thread again & saw I missed this;

Ooops. I meant "And pushing." Simple typo. That's all.

Love that Freudian slip Nomo, happens a lot to us "pushers" I have a feeling

So, knowing how bad my W thinks she was controlled, I started thinking about it hard to understand my role. I sort of get it but then I dont. I never stopped her from doing anything, ever. Never said NO, said I wasnt happy about certain things and grumbled when she came home or the whole Dallas trips to her family thing was always an "issue" but I never said, "DONT GO, or YOUR NOT GOING". So please help me people, I dont want to be a controlling person, how can you guilt someone so bad that they feel abused? I swear, I dont really understand it???

I could be wrong CVA, however, I have a feeling that if you did come to understanding this, your R w/your W would greatly improve. As we discussed the ON, you didn't have to come out & say You're not going" for your W to feel pressured & controlled.
Worth consideration I think.

Hope you're having an outstanding day in Sugarland. \:\)

The reason is if she dont feel like sending out xmas cards using both of you all's name then she may want to stop using the M name, 'be free' so to speak. Why do the spouses feel as though they are in prison by being bonded to us?

Too bad it's not watermelon season.

Sunny makes a good point, CVA. Even if you don't do it, going through the exercise of making an apology, and putting yourself in your W's shoes, might help you out a lot. It did me.
