NM, I just want to offer my two cents worth on the legal aspect of it, please follow through with OT's advice in this regard because, as she said, it is likely that you have a interest in the house and other property that you should pursue. I can't say whether leaving without pursuing these things will automatically deny you any rights to that, but it could make the battle much harder.
