Crazy Train
I'll Sleep When I Die

I had a hard time picking a thread title this time. I wanted something that would show "where I am" at the moment. I've been listening to a lot of bluegrass lately while I work on the house. Alison Krauss and Union Station are awesome. Alison sings like an angel and almost brings me to tears at times. I threw 5 of her CD's in the changer earlier and listened while I worked. I heard this and decided "Forget About It" would be my thread title.

Forget about it
I'm admittin' I was wrong
And I'll just take what's mine
And walk right out the door
Forget about it
I'll split and I'll be gone
And you'll have memories
You'll find hard to ignore
'Cause after all
I see you sometime
Maybe when I can't recall
How you drove me crazier
Forget about it
When forever's over
I won't remember how much
I loved you anymore
Forget about it
Put me out of your head
Now that you're free and easy
Out there on the town
Forget about it
When you're lying in bed just wishing
I was there to lay you down

'Cause after all
I see you sometime maybe
When you will recall
How I drove you crazier
Forget about those stars in your eyes
Laying by the fireside
Holding you tight
I can't remember when I felt so right
So just forget about it

Forget about it
When you see me on the street
Don't wink, don't wave
Don't try to tease me with your smile
Forget about it
If we chance to meet somewhere
Don't think it's cause I'm trying to reconcile

'Cause after all
I see you sometime maybe
When I can't recall
How you drove me crazier
Forget about those stars in your eyes
Laying by the fireside
Holding you tight
I can't remember when I felt so right
So just forget about it

so today, was a good day. Got home, washed the Trailblazer, ate a bite. Got the saws and tools out and went back at the kitchen. It's all trimmed out now. Crown molding is up, baseboards in, trim work done. Some touch up painting to do on trim. We will set the base cabinet and sink, put the cabinets and dishwasher in, a new counter top..and it will be over...finally...just days away now..

My D is coming tomorrow..my first over night with her and I could cry.

It's been a really good day. I've learned a lot about myself over the last week or so..

I'm just so blessed..blessed by this place and good friends here. A great family, a beautiful D and son.

I'm blessed by a smile I get every morning which is so contagious it puts me in a great mood all day.

I'm blessed by a friend who checks in with me daily no matter what is happening in "his world".

I'm blessed now with the new found ability I have just to start a conversation with someone I don't know. That's a first for me..a big 180..I used to freeze not know what to say..now I just let my "twang and drawl" charm them...if ya consider that charming...

I appreciate you guys..the ones who post and the ones who just read..I appreciate the ones who help keep me "centered"..

Forget About it..

Oh and I see we are still operating below the waistline.

Das okay...I'm more comfortable with that anyway.

It's still morning here (friday that is - for you yanks, that's in the future neener neener neener) so can I have another coffee?

I'm sure I had something profound ready to go on your old thread but I lost the profundity (and class) when I read the ass callous part AGAIN!!

I'm glad you're getting time with your d. It's so gorgeous to see a dad smitten with his kids.

Can I hear your drawl? Tell me some famous people who have your accent. What accent has Matthew McConaghey got?

SMW calls it a twang with a drawl and finds it very funny.

It's very southern I suppose and I'm sure my grammer sucks..I say ain't quite a bit..

I can't change it. It's in me, it's who I am..I roll with it..and evidently it's pretty damn funny and keeps Northern folks in a state of total hysteria..

and if you visit this thread, then you could hear or see just about anything.

Seeing as how I am from a whole different continent, I could be amused for days!!

then again, I may find that you lot might just kill yourselves laughing at my accent. *thbthbthb*
