I say invite her out for a coffee at least. Make a new friend, it certainly couldn't hurt.

Starving for affection, a familiar feeling. Your response is normal given the circumstances and you shouldn't feel self-conscious about it. Even if you don't plan to date, the interaction can be very rewarding. The way you describe her, she is definitely trying to get to know you. So get to know her. If not for a romantic R, then for what it is. It'll be good for you.

I kinda feel like a cocker spaniel right now - pet me and I'll pee all over the carpet.

I don't know - I'll be friendly but I think it's best if I keep to myself for awhile. At least until D is final!

Hard to have respect for a relationship in which the other person has not only walked out but slept with someone else and refused to put any energy whatsoever into addressing issues.

I get that, believe me. You just made the comment about waiting until D is final. I think that is showing respect for your M, and also demonstrates the strength of your character. Chicks dig that.

Chicks just dig strength in general. That's why I'm going to go to the gym and work out until I have biceps the size of my thighs.

Okay, enough of this. I'm clearly procrastinating and haven't gotten sh*t done on my papers. And I should be cleaning the house and figuring out a menu for a dinner party tonight. Can't serve red meat. What should it be? I've made fish the last coupla times. I could do pasta, but that doesn't seem very summery.

Actually, maybe I should harvest my basil and make veggies & pasta smothered in pesto? With salad? Maybe my salad with roasted walnuts, blue cheese, and pear?

that seems like a lot of green things. I could also do heirloom tomatoes with mozarella & basil - caprese. Too much basil?

And berries for dessert? Okay, this isn't the place for me to be doing this.

night all. lodo

okay Kat, I took your suggestion. Made pasta with pesto, chicken & veggies (kale, broccoli, peppers), asparagus & roasted red peppers, and my fave salad. Pretty tasty! For dessert I had fresh berries in whiskey cream.

Now I'm pooped. It was fun to hang out for an evening, though, and just chat about nothing in particular.

hope everyone's weekend is good. lodo
