So I'm a perv. Most folks who know me pick that up pretty quick. But you won't find a single naughty word in what I wrote. Let's say it was a bit of a challenge hee hee.

Wish I was going to Chicago instead of Detroit myself. We're going to visit Detroit-Mercy. But I'll also be cruising through Toledo to visit family on the way back, so my weekend's shot--hopefully will be home to enjoy my day off on Monday. Next time I head back north towards my "land of origin" we should figure out a way to get together. I'm pretty familiar with the Detroit/Toledo area.

HT,

Yup. I DB'd Hank Hill's daddy. I thought the guy was going to bust an artery at first. But I realized I didn't give a fig either. I wasn't about to let him wreck my day. Didn't even care that he was a principal in the firm. I was pretty proud of myself--he just could not disrupt my serenity. And did he try. Dunno, but he's just the type who loves to rattle people's cages just to get attention. Now where have I SEEN that before?

Yeah, I'm glad to see the kid grow up. I'll probably be throwing a huge party the day I pack her up for college and send her off 250 mi north of here lol.

RE the poem... I'm putting together a website because I'm doing some freelance stuff. I'll have it up there eventually. FTP'ing files via 56K modem is not exactly a quick process...

Good Morning
So your baby turns 18 today.
Wow!
I take it,you will home alone when this one goes off to college.
Times does fly doesn't it?
You crack me up with the stories of DBing the men in your office.
Those skills sure come in handy don't they?
I have to pull mine out often too.
Hope you have a great day.
Take Care
God Bless

Pammie, yup. The skills do come in handy. Just don't give an angry person what they expect--your anger in return!

Bookstore? Yeah... who knows? I'll let all the DB folks know what that happens. So far my biggest claim to fame was having been published in a technical journal a few years back.

But thanks! It does feel pretty good. We'll see where this goes. I'll take this ride any day over the D rollercoaster.

Right now, my biggest thing is to get this freelance website going. I forgot how much work this all was I'll get there eventually...

I think Oprah still does have a bookclub. I should check into that <<snicker>>. Heck, I think a lot of us could contribute to a book on divorce survival techniques around here. Oh heck, we all could contribute to a book on how to really thrive after a whacko divorce it seems.

Get in line... sigh... I guess I can do autographs... $20 a pop... <just joking!!!!>

One of these days, the website will be up and functional. But I got a lot of technical stuff I need to get up there and in good order first since that's how I earn my living and what I need to continue on with the income stream. Priorities, priorities. Somehow writing about data conversion and networks and technology and business reengineering just doesn't seem as fun as porn poems lol!

Keyz, I'm glad you said these words. I thought the divorce would be easy after enduring the past, but whacko is exactly what it is. I feel better knowing that whacko is not unusual. I just want it done! Soon.....

Yup. Whacko.

I really do think the whole divorce thing sucks. But if you really feel you need a divorce, you've got to go through it.

Unfortunately, the system does encourage this behavior in some ways. I think ultimately we use a lot of anger to get through a divorce. Not an easy thing to get through with dignity or any grace if you're at war with a spouse. But like I've always said, my view is probably colored by my experiences. It was so difficult doing a divorce when you have a spouse who probably is mentally/emotionally ill and it's affected you. No two people can live together and not affect each other with their experiences and problems. I just didn't know how to deal with my ex's problems.

I really do think we need to make counseling or therapy a mandatory step in order to get a divorce! It seems as though there really is no real thing as a "peaceful" divorce. Someone, probably both, are too hurt or too proud or too emotionally messed up to deal with the situation rationally if it's gotten to the point you're making each other sick. I wouldn't doubt to this day my ex will blame me for the acrimony in our divorce. I really don't think he'll ever pick up the bag o'junk he dumped at my door over it... so I just kicked it aside and said "screw it." I did the best I could. You'll get there. Don't keep his junk in your door.
