Ripe, the Crystal Gayle song really captures the tenacity and the huge capacity to love of a real DBer. How to be the lighthouse, I guess.

Azzork,

OMG, I can't stop listening to La La La. What a catchy tune. I bought it on itunes as soon as I heard it.

It is the musical equivalent of a spew-jacket. I wish I could just stick my fingers in my ears sometimes.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am going to listen to your other picks later. See how alike our musical tastes are.

on a side note, Fellow DBers, if you do post a song, it would be awesome if you could also jot down a word or two about why you chose a particular song.

Jealous by Labrinth (sad cry song)

The Devil Within by Digital Daggers (rage/punish song)
(I realize when I still lived there I listened to this song around her)

Everything by Lifehouse (my wedding song)

Feel Again by OneRepublic (feel good song)

Stitches by Shawn Mendez (pain song)

Cut the Cord by Shinedown (dropping the rope)

Forget you by CeeLoGreen (obvious)
^^W mentioned this was inappropriate to be listening to around the kids so I knew she heard the lyrics to the other songs I was playing at times.

I realized in the past I was very passive-aggressive(semi unintentional) with the music I listened to around W. Most of these songs I've played around her other than Jealous.

Highway 20 ride by zach brown. Used to listen tk it with my W. Always thought is was such a beatiful song about a dad trying to tell his kid how much he loved him/her even though he and the mom are divorced.

I just heard "Wintersong" by Sara McLachlin, this is a tear jerker about letting go on Christmas.

I just heard another one!

Far Away by Nickelback, this is the song I am praying that my H will play for me when he climbs out of his pit.

"Far Away"

This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore

On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]

So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know

I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go
