Quick journaling/notetaking for myself to return and look at.

Key focus:

Work on my response to stress better.
Work on better communication
Continue IC and work on my own issue of being defensive
Learn to not fake GAL and PMA but actually try to be those things for real.
Give W space and only reply otherwise NC. NEVER mention wanting to repair the marriage.

Mornings seem to be the worst. I actually slept last night even though I didnt fall asleep till 4 am. I woke up for alarm for church but went rolled back over and slept. Big mistake I guesse because I had terrible dreams after that involving W. Walk up to the bad dream being real. So now working on picking myself back up the rest of the day. Found out yesterday wife did an early birthday party with her family for our son turning 5. She said nothing about it when she called on phone last night to let me talk to kids. She talked about everything else like her job and sister but left that out. Not upset she didnt say anything honestly. Just sad that my kid had a birthday party without me for the first time since I was deployed.

I know all about the sleepless nights and relentless nightmares regarding WAW. Pursue LRT, 180's, GAL and Sandi's 37 rules as relentlessly as possible. It might take only a few days, or it might take a few weeks, but it WILL begin to work in you. And trust me, that first night when are finally detached for the first time, you will sleep better than any time in your life.

Thanks for the encouragement Card. I see why even if the M isnt saved why people keep posting here. It's a great online support group. Regardless of what happens I feel Ill be sticking around for awhile to keep this support forum going.

I guess all we can do is keep moving forward Jefe it's bound to get a little easier at some point if we are really doing the right thing.Right now I can't see it but its encouraging to know it does happen at some point.

If we are following our Christian faith and take the vows seriously, then we are absolutely doing the right thing. God's working in this somehow. That's what I'm having a tough time seeing.

On an encouraging note, I have a close friend who's girlfriend walked out the same day my wife did. He remained completely dark this entire time (2.5 months) and she just initiated contact 3 days ago and they've started the piecing process. God's working, and the principals talked about here work.

Keep the faith.

CMS, the sleep deprivation just destroys you. Don't wait until 4 am to take something. You owe it to yourself to get enough sleep to handle this stress, to care for yourself so you can care for your family.

I got some good results with Melatonin. Benadryl helped me on nights I just could not sleep. Both are inexpensive and safe.

Also... have you looked into tapping?

I found this guy on youtube, and his little tapping videos help me a lot. There are other tappers out there, like this gal, in case you don't like the first guy.

That's interesting. I will look further into the tapping myself.
