I was talking to my former MIL yesterday and she was soaking her feet in ice water trying to cool down. She lives in Pasadena and her apartment has no AC. It was 114 outside and in her apartment the thermometer was registering 90. ICK! That is horrific.....oh yeah, but it was only 10% humidity. That would be Vegas hot baby!

It never quite hit that in the 30 years I lived there but there was a stretch of about 2 weeks once where the temp was consistently 105. Thought were were going to drop dead that summer!

weekend forecast calls for a high of 55 up here.....brrrr....it's time for my yearly golf trip down to FLA in early November. I see the geese in their V formation flying down to visit you guys in the US of A.

By the way kerry, hwo is your alignemnet going?? i kind of lost track of the quest for the LK nudge nudge. you don't email anymore.

I swear that the geese never leave the course where I take lessons. There is goose poop everywhere. My neighborhood course does not have a problem with geese, although there are a good amount of ducks there.

I think the interesting thing about playing golf in Florida is the possibility of seeing aligators in the water hazards.

My alignment is still vertical. Nothing forecast on the horizon. And I dont have any pressing quest for LK at the moment.

Hmmmm...you have me thinking.

I'll have to schedule that for Wednesdays as Thurdays is my golf lesson.

I do need to be cautious about this...

John, you keep your danged geese! Can't you train them NOT to come south for the winter? Gees! grin

My city actually has to hire goose wranglers to come in and transport them away from our lake because they chase the kids at the playgrounds that surround it.

Mishka -

You could retaliate against Canada by having your alligators migrate up there in the summer.

I don't think the Canada geese attack kids up here....they probably even hold their poop till they fly over your country...lol
Just kidding of course...those birds sure carry alot of stuff.....they really liked the 14th green at my course....not sure how they got rid of them.

Hey John -

The kids and I are going this Sunday to watch the Portland Winterhawks take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes. We got good corner seats. Also, since it is my son's 10th birthday, there will be a happy birthday message shown on the big scoreboard during intermission.

I am thinking that I need to take the kids to a Portland Trailblazer game some day. I see that on Sunday January 9th that the Miami Heat are visiting us. I hear that they have some pretty decent players on their team. Of course, my daughter will probably have more interest in watching the Blazer Dancers during timeouts.
