Kerry go with this year's model A7s or the oversize version; more of a game improvement club

After distributing Goodwill bags door to door with S9 and the cub scouts, I spent most of the afternoon with a guy at the golf demo center. We found and got fitted for the perfect clubs for me! And I also got a new putter (using putting lab technology), some balls and a lightweight bag. The technology they use to help one decide is amazing.

What I got:

PW to 5 iron - Taylormade (09) Burner
4 and 3 hybrid - Adams Idea aA70s
3 Wood - Ping G15
Putter - Odyssey White Ice Sabertooth 2

The bag is a superlight Sun Mountain with Portland Trailblazer colors. I am still going to have my Winnie the Pooh towel hanging off it just to keep myself weird. I sure would not mind having a bag like Rodney Dangerfield had in CaddyShack.

I tried a bunch of different irons, but I was hitting the Burners at least 10 yards further than any others I tried and my consistency was very good with them. Great irons!

My launch angle for woods is low, but the Ping has a higher loft which should help me considerably.

With my existing Taylormade R7 driver, Titlest 50 degree gap and Wilson 55 sand wedge, I have 13 clubs. I will play a bit before deciding what else to get - 4 iron or 60 degree.

I will have my instructor let me try a G15 at the next lesson. We can us Trackman to analyze to see if it a good step up from my R7 which I got for $150 a couple years ago. I looked and the G15 driver and wood gets great reviews. The Ping hybrids - not so well.

I did get the Adams hybrids - they are great. I was just commenting on the reviews I read about the Ping hybrids.
