With God's love in my heart, I fully experience the happiness of life.

Happiness is a state of heart and mind. It is mine to choose. When I rise each morning, I think positively. I begin my day with a smile on my face and a song in my heart that says "Thank You, God, for another perfect day."

I spread happiness in my interactions with others. Through a simple smile and a cheerful outlook, I lift the spirits of family and friends. I look on the light side of life, realizing that goodness and love can be found every moment of every day.
My heart and mind are open to the inspiration of God as the source of my love and enthusiasm for life. I live the peace and happiness God created me to experience.

Happy are those who live in your house, ever singing your praise.--Psalm 84:4

I release that which no longer serves me. My spirit is restored.
With the start of a new year, I eagerly anticipate doors opening wide with new possibilities. I am grateful for new beginnings. I welcome the opportunity to release that which no longer serves me, knowing that life can begin anew for me. I open my heart and mind to receive my good.

While I may or may not make New Year's resolutions, I resolve to focus my attention on "being" rather than "doing." This year, I allow myself the gift of reflection. By tuning in each day to the Divine Presence within me, I find my spirit is restored and my vision for myself is expanded. I am able to create the life that I desire. By staying in the present moment, I see the Truth of me--and I am a joyful new creation.

I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.--Revelation 3:8

Went to a NYE party last night and had a wonderful time. It was a small, intimate, and informal gathering. We had good food, wine and desserts. There were only 4 of us me and 3 women from the support group I attend twice a month. It was very relaxing and refreshing to just hangout and have conversations about various topics. I did get a text message sometime after mid-night from W wishing me a happy new year and I responded to her early this morning. I got home from the party after 2am and have been chilling today and watching college football and reading. My kids went to parties by their friends’ houses and they had fun too.

Tonight S16, his girlfriend and I watched the first part of the Civil War: America Divided (10 part series) from MillCreek Entertainment. Very educational - cannot wait to watch the rest of this series.

Found this to be so true and spoke very clearly to me:

I am joy in expression.
There is no need to ever wait for joy. My joy does not depend on reaching or achieving certain goals. I don't have to graduate from college to feel joy, nor do I need to be married to feel joy. I needn't postpone my joy until I've retired or reached a certain level of success. Joy is a state of mind, arising from realization and gratitude, accessible to me at all times.

I focus on the joy that underlies my life each day. When I awake, I feel joy. Throughout my day, I give thanks for the people who share my journey. At the end of the day, I am grateful for each experience. I reflect on the blessings in my life and feel joy welling up within me. I never wait for joy. I choose joy in this very moment.

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy.--James 1:2
