no, I do resolutions a bit differently...I don't give things up in association with new years. giving up diet coke (well, except when out) is just something I've been wanting to do for a while, but didn't want to even think about trying to do it around the holidays because they were tough enough.

That's right, this is your first Christmas since your split. I remember how hard the first one was on me. I desperately missed spending it with my stbx and S7. Truth be told, I couldn't wait for the holidays to end. It was so much nicer this year and I'm grateful I'm to this point.

Hang in there sugar, it will get better!

thanks, tom.

christmas was hard, but I guess i was prepared for it so it wasn't as bad as it could have been I guess. new years took me by surprise...I was a wreck. totally unexpectedly so.

glad to hear it gets easier.

Tom,

Another perspective on distance dating . . .

It's kinda hard to go too fast with distance between you. Maybe sticking to distance is a way of ensuring you give yourself the proper time to evaluate where a relationship should go. It's a safety feature of sorts. I certainly see nothing wrong with it, but then again, who am I to talk?

I guess if the laws of attraction are random, unpredictable, and spontaneous, then long distance dating/relationships shouldn't surprise anyone. Maybe we put to much reasoning and thought behind it. It is what it is... spontaneous attraction. Sustained attraction is a entirely different thing however.

BTW, my first W was from out of State.

Wow! That would be a great name for some cologne... "spontaneous attraction"! Don't you think?

I'm a pretty good philosopher after I've had a few.
