How to thrive during the Holidays:

Thanksgiving -

Give Thanks, make a list of all that you are grateful for

Share your gifts, talents, wealth, time.

Volunteer to help with a charity.

Read up on the history of Thanksgiving

Imagine how you would have handled being a pilgrim

Make a call to a old friend

Find a new recipe to try on turkey day

Buy or create a new outfit.

Exercise

Watch - Home for the Holidays

Christmas

look past the materialistic part and understand why you celebrate Christmas

Make and deliver cookies/treats - friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, shut-ins etc.

Go to church, midnight mass is special

Buy yourself a toy

Watch - Rudolph, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation, It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story, etc. in your pajamas, with hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps.

Start a new tradition.

Make someone else's Christmas special.

Sing "Blue Christmas" at a karaoke bar, complete with back-ups singers. Post it on "youtube."

Get some friends together and go caroling. Don't forget the hot chocolate and schnapps.

Find out if the "Christmas Spirit" is real.

New Years

Set some goals - health, career, education, spiritual, emotional, family, travel, financial - develop a action plan, then share with a friend. Ask them to help keep you on track.

Overall:

Manage your energy - sleep, diet, thoughts, actions, spirit

exercise

pray

take your dog for a walk

stay connected to healthy people

fill you own love buckets

be responsible for your won happiness

You all can handle it.

Love to hear more ideas, thoughts, actions, and opportunities.

Cheers
Coach

Here's a trick if you live in the South:

Turn the A/C down low so it gets chilly in the house, then start a fire.

Re-arrange your obnoxious neighbors Christmas display. Put the reindeers and elves in compromising positions.

Find a "turkey trot" race on Thanksgiving to run in.

Get a gig as a mall Santa.
