My H and I have been in separate bedrooms since March(his choice). At first I would still hug and kiss him. But after reading DR, I get the impression that I should take a stand off approach and not do that unless he were to initiate it. So now there's no hug or kiss. Sometimes a pat on the back like you would give a dog. I feel so much more distant. Am I doing the right thing?

I am in the same situation. We're in seperate rooms since 1st of April. He'll hug me, and I'll ask where it's coming from, and he'll say it's because I'm the mother of his child. So weird!! I feel very distant.

Yes, same thing! "i love you only as the mother of my child". How painful!!

When he first told me he wanted D, I still tried to hug and kiss him all the time, but I think that pushed me away. I still want to jump all over him and hug and kiss but not unless he truly wants it. So I just wait, try to be kind, not clinging, and hope he has a change of heart.
