Hey Was2sad,

What a pleasant surprise! I must say that I've always admired your peacefullness, kindness and stellar sense of humor in dealing with this garbage. Even in your own situation, you are a stunning example of compassion.

I will heed your warning about getting confirmations. I do like to have my ducks in a row. Quack, quack. I am a little worried that my passport will arrive in time, but I was trying not to focus on any negatvity.

I will also follow all of your recommendations regarding the cool drinks and sandy beaches and massages. I'm not sure about parasailing, though. The package offers a free snorkeling lesson. I'm not a swimmer but oddly enough, I'd feel less likely to drown while under the water than on top of the water.

LOL! I get the picture.

Happy Holidays to you also, Was2sad.

Get a personal flotation device and do the Parasailing. I did it and my balance stinks but it was an absolute blast.

Hi No hill,

Thanks for stopping by. Maybe I will give parasailing a try. I haven't an "absolute blast" for a long time.

I talked to my brother today and we are actually planning to get together for Christmas. If you knew him, you would understand that's it kind of a big deal. It will be the first time that they have been to my new place...now I have even more to do to get ready for their arrival in a couple weeks.

I like the name change. I am so jealous you are going to Mexico. I love Mexico.

I am so glad your brother is spending Christmas with you. You sound so upbeat and positive. It is only up from here.

Hi Mermaid,

Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, I am very excited about these two new events. They are both "firsts" in a way.

Enjoy the Holidays!

Odd thing today...

I had pool league tonight and had a wonderful time. We are "tied" for 1st place at the moment. After we were finished, we scampered off to some new terrain and had a jolly old time. I will be "paying" tomorrow...as you can see I am still up.

When I arrived home there was a message on my machine from XH.

XH: "Hi, it's me...just wondering how you're doing...Thanksgiving and Christmas and all...If you want to give me a call back you have my number (then reads off number)...I hope you are doing well...Talk to you...bye."

My first reaction was "huh, whaddya know (with some satisfaction)" and then seconds later it was "F you XH!" That took all of about five minutes. Now it is Hmmm, whatever. My natural instinct is to call him in a day or two and tell him how I'm douing, like he asked...which is FABULOUS, BTW.

The only thing worth noting is that this is the FIRST time he's ever called with NO excuse other than to see how I am. Hmmm...

Comments and suugestions welcome.

GG,
I hope you are not faced w/ going to bed so late AND getting up too early like me. How wonderful to hear you sounding so good!! Can I come join you in fab-land?

How odd that your xh called out of the blue. If you are over the f you reaction to him, then go with your instinct to call. Just don't let him 'get' to you or derail your PMA. You are certainly in a good place to tell him that life is treating you well, with a good job, happy social life, and exciting travel plans for future.

I know you will keep us posted!

oH G!

Isn't that something, and the way it seems to go too. We learn to accept our life the way it is, we start growing, begin to heal, and WHAM! they do something that causes us to stop in our tracks.

I'm a big one for going with your gut instincts, as I'm trying to learn NOT to second guess myself while learning to trust myself once again. I have also found that when I start second guessing myself, I also begin to over analyze the situation, then I begin this obtuse cycle which throws me off course.

With this said, I believe your first reaction was right:
Quote:

"huh, whaddya know (with some satisfaction)" and then seconds later it was "F you XH!"

Actions speak louder than words... by not calling, you will be sending this message:
Quote:

tell him how I'm doing, like he asked...which is FABULOUS, BTW.

And much too busy to bother to call him..... You'll be saying, I'm loving my new life, and don't have time for the past.

If he is truly interested in how you are doing, he will call back.... If the call was just made out of loneliness or boredom, you will know this too. Sit back, and let him work for your attention.... Remember, we humans are fickled, we always want what we can't have.

Just my two cents... Let us know what you do.

Take care of you, God Bless

Love,
