Thanks, Fille. I hope we can do it together. The terrain is nice around here (at least that’s what W tells me. She’s the only one to see it from a bike so far).

A name? Dunno. Hafta see what her temperament is like.

Andy -- when Fred got his first bike (Harley Sportster), the guy from the bike shop had to drive it home for him! [Big Grin] He got his license after the fact, too! However, the leathers he got right away!! (And that was my favorite part...you might want to reconsider your priorities! [Wink] )

Hi, Andy!

I'm returning the visit. Thanks for dropping in. Your comments really picked me up and helped me.

I haven't read everything you have written here yet, but glanced through it. Two comments that I will expound on further if you are interested. First, I noticed your W had hormone problems. Me too. Been on Synthroid for years, and now on progesterone. The low thyroid (T4) levels cause some libido problems, but apparently the progesterone level was also a factor. Plus the thyroid problem was a factor in depression. All of which added up to a lousy sex life and eventually to H bolting for greener pastures. No, he isn't actually grazing in those pastures yet, still in the fantasy stage, but certainly out the door.

I assure anyone who even suspects a hormone problem to aggressively pursue it. I asked my doctors for years for help, but until I pushed it hard, they kind of blew me off. It has made a world of difference. And you are never too young for this to be a problem. This has apparently been a problem for me forever, since my teens.

Second comment is about the motorcycle. My H got a Harley last year (perhaps MLC symptom?) and that is one of the things that kept us together when things were getting rough, and still gives us a common interest; even though we are separated, we still ride together and hang out at "biker bars". Something that may surprise a lot of people is that bikers tend to stay in relationships through thick and thin, much more so than the general population, and they tend to be very family-oriented. And just generally a bunch of nice people, despite the popular image.

Ciao!
Chrissa

Hey Andy, TBONE here. Found your post finally. Good luck with the cycles (I mean motorcycles). I live very near the mecca of motorcycles (Milwaukee, WI) so I say this from experience, you can wear leather anyhwere you want. With all the leather I see out and about here it is amazing there are any cows left. By the way, you can always wear leather in the bedroom. Who needs hormones or iron when your wearing leather chaps and holdng a bullwhip? Have a great weekend.

Chrissa,

I know what you mean about motorcycle. My H also bought a Harley last year just as he was telling the OW to take a hike. MLC? That's what I think. H won't buy into it, but what do they know! I've had a little resentment regarding the purchase of that bike because my H kept telling me how much he deserved to have it. Of course, at the time I didn't know how much he truely DID NOT deserve it. But I must admit, we've had a lot of fun with the darn thing.

You're right about the biker image changing. Actually, most Harley's now are purchased by professional, family-oriented people!!

I sincerely hope you and your H can work things out. Sounds like you have at least some things in common.

Sorry, Andy, to horn in on your thread. [Razz]

Hi, Andy!

I'm trying to teach myself some self-control re my emotions. That must be some of the 'pain' I read about in making changes.

I know you've read my posts re the latest book that I've been reading. I was stunned when Sage picked it up an begain reading from it. You might want to have a copy laying around for your wife to notice.

Lot of motorcycles on the interstate these days. Think about ya everytime!

Take it easy as you go w the flow. Hope your cough is better!

Thanks for dropping by, all. I don’t know if the motorcycle thing will keep us together, Chrissa. It’s a common interest, and that’s good. Guess it kinda depends on how much of it (like everything else) we can do together. Life gets in the way.

But, I’m gonna try. Hope W will too.

Still looking for a leather gorilla suit. They’re hard to find!

I don’t mind anyone “horning in” on my thread, Mattie. I’m not using it much lately anyway. Guess that’s a good thing. I have high hopes for Chrissa.

I’m not going to leave any not-so-subtle hints around, Lily. REAL bad experiences with that! I’m just keeping things to myself when appropriate, and being completely open when appropriate. No gray areas. Ambiguity spells disaster!

Tonight is my first practical motorcycle lesson. I’m a bit nervous, but am really looking forward to it.

Wish me luck.

Andy
