Jan - I love this thread, it gives everyone the platform to look above the fence, away from our own little drama, and celebrate just how far we have all come.

It is 13 months since NG's a began, 10 months since he told me about it. We seem to be mending our relationship, but I KNOW I've said goodbye to many hang-ups, some I did not even know I had. Like Sage, I know my job on myself is not done, I'm happy to be a work-in-progress.

Happy to be in the company here too. Slowly

Hi Slowly,

I'm so glad you stopped by to say that you're 'getting it' because THAT IS the foundation of your own personal success.

T2;

You were the very first person to respond to me 5 months ago when I first came to this board. You were a font of inspiration and help then just as you are now.

Personally, I am working on my self-esteem, insecurity and jealousy. I'm definitely NOT in the same place that I was 5 months ago, but I also haven't really "found it" yet. I haven't found self-esteem - I haven't found a way to be secure and happy with who I am just as I am - and I still have jealousy over OW and the possibility of there always being an OW in any relationship that I might have in the future. However, I know that there is a better place out there and I am working toward that just a little bit every day. As Sage says "I am a work in progress".

Thank you T2 for being here when you were and for coming back!

T2~
You are in inspiration in so many ways....thanks for starting this discussion ~ it feels so GOOD to dwell on the positive!!

My journey was long and painful and I have learned so much for which I am so grateful......... I think the thing that amazes me the most is how I was able to "find myself" after years of being part of a couple! It feels so good!!!

Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.... (thoreau)
