So, I am breathing and being mindful and trying to remind myself not to make things bigger than they are. Why does it need to pour lately?

My dog has a lump on her side, and it's not small. Found it tonight while brushing her. Going to the vet next Monday to find out what's going on.

Arrrggghhh!!!

Elly

I can do this...I know I can, I know I can...

If it came up really quick it could be an abscess or a cyst. How long has it been there?

About a month. Sort of. She's always had a bump there that the vets said was a floating rib. It's just gotten bigger in the last month.

I don't think I would go to doom and gloom yet. I would definitely get it checked out though.

So, life marches on. Got my son back last night. He's been having an issue saying goodbye to my H at drop off at school. Didn't have any problem with me, but my guess is that I'm the normal boring one, where he's afraid not to see his dad again.

My first week without H is done. It's been interesting. I won't say I like it, but in some ways it's been a lot more peaceful in spirit than lately.

I worked out on the elliptical last night and made a 6' snowman with S.

Everything still feels...odd. What are my next steps. Hmm. I spent so long trying to fix us when he was here, I'm not sure what to do now.

I think the next step is to assess where you are, your needs and desires for you and your son. This may take a little time. By the end of your son's preschool you should be on terra firma. Until it become obvious to you, treat yourself to different experiences and see what brings you joy. My struggle would be to not become a recluse. Your son will certainly help prevent that, he will need stimulation. Perhaps doing things with him is a good short term solution until you are compelled to do things you love. Just a thought.
