I do 30 minutes cardio on machine and 3x10 sit ups each day. Each week I will increase. I'm starting slow, the turtle wins.

The lice epidemic, kid's new school and work have been keeping me busy...

And I can feel the jiggly bits getting more and more jiggly!

It's no use to go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.

Awesome mutatio. isnt your mood so much better after the cardio.

My husband has frequently had problems controlling his weight. I see that he has gained a lot of weight and he told me he has been very depressed. Do you think this means he is less likely to have had affair? He still insists that he has not.

It could be from drinking as well.

I did two days in a row of yoga! Will continue today.

Julie, it is possible that your H isn't in an A. Just because 90% of the spouses on here have cheated doesn't mean they all have. I sometimes wonder if my H's EA was a lot more than he admits to, but then I realize that being on this board and hearing about everyone else's situations makes me a little more on guard against this than I would otherwise be. Its a double edged sword- good to be aware of the possibility because it fits the pattern, but also at the same time, can make you paranoid and filled with doubts. For now I have decided to trust that my H isn't in one. That his EA is over. I am trying my best not to entertain doubts and to "not go there." Time will reveal the truth. It is hard. But you have no proof of an A and I think- if I am reading you correctly- that your gut is telling you that there is no OW.

Ok, I figured I should jump in this tread since health and fitness is a big goal of mine. Here are some things I am committed to doing:

- Exercise first thing in the AM. I find that if I try to do it at the end the day it is too easy to come up with excuses why I can't. Plus, morning workouts get my day off to a better start both emotionally and mentally.
- Bootcamp M-W-F at 6am. Not only is this a hard work out, it is a really fun group of people with lots of joking around and laughing.
- Two days a week of 35-60 minutes of cardio on my own. Right now because of the weather I am going to the local rec center. Great facility and low cost!!
- Daily walks with dog for 2-3 miles
-Sign-up for a 5K run every other month with a goal of a 1/2 marathon by the end of the year. This Saturday I am running my first 5K for the year!
-Tracking food. While this is a bit of a chore to enter stuff, it does really work. I use Myfitnesspal app.

Keep moving!!

Good luck BT!! I can't wait to start 5k's but need the weather to warm a bit. Hope you hit that half marathon goal. I did one last year and am thinking of doing 2 this year.

Just finished the 5K. It would have been so easy to bail this morning as it was only about 20 degrees at race time, but I got motivated and stayed committed. Finished in about 31 minutes. Yay for me!!

Good job BT!!

Sorry I've been out of this thread.

Jelly - I'm not sure of Paleo snacks for mid race. I would usually eat oranges and nuts on my long runs and races, that and drink a sports drink despite it not being strict. Heck you can eat anything if the race is over 10k and you're going to just burn it right off.

For those of you still struggling, JUST START. One of the hurdles is the resistance people create around needing a gym, needing the right clothes, or any equipment. We can all squat, or quarter squat, or hold a plank, or do a wall sit. Starting with 5 reps every hour on the hour leads to 60 reps of something during a 12 hour day. That's just 5 reps! That can take 6 seconds.

Imagine a week of 5 reaping something every hour! 60 squats for 7 days is 420 squats. When was the last time we did 420 squats in a week? See what I mean. Just start moving more. 1 walk out to the mailbox and back every day is how you start. I used to have clients film their mailbox walk with their cell phones and text me the video for accountability. A year later they were running races.

It's all about the start and doing something every day to build momentum.

For those of you trying to lose weight - start with breakfast - eat healthy one, with no sugar and limited grains. YES you can eat vegetables for breakfast. My standard breakfast is 5 eggs, three mushrooms, a big handful of spinach, and avocado, some turkey and an apple. All washed down with a cup of coffee and a big glass of water.

Just start!
