#43. This isn't going the way I expected

I splurged a bit today. I bought a vibrating baby papasan and a mobile play crib as well as some onesies. S19's girlfriend made some comment this weekend about accepting only certain things so I thought I could get them for my house anyhow.

When they are the ones paying she may change her tune but for now I figured it won't hurt to have them plus I saved a ton.

Hi Kat, how much fun is buying baby stuff the second time around as a grandmother this time. I hope the onesies were fabulously bright and colorful.

Do you have a rocking chair?

I have a recliner that used to rock before the kids broke part of it. I figure these few things will get me started. I might have to look for a rocker too but I still have some time.

It was fun though I felt a bit bad about that. The situation still weighs on me but this cutie is going to love being here if I can help it. I am buying neutral things because I hope my oldest son will have kids years from now, I want to be able to use these items again, just like I did with my kids things. The onesies were pinks and purples and polka dotted. They are so tiny but so sweet.

They sound adorable! It does sound fun. I'm sure you can picture the baby now and that is great!

Many babies come into the world with less than perfect conditions. But your baby will come into the world LOVED! By many people. And that is wonderful.

When is the due date?

January 21 but she thinks the date is off. She is tiny, shorter than me and my son isn't but a few inches taller than me so she is measuring with that due date but she thinks it is 3 weeks off by her calculations.

So I figure any where betweenChristmas and her due date.

My birthday is January 16. Josh's is Dec 28. Maybe she will share on of our birthdays.

LOL, babies come when they want to come! Not a minute before, and not a minute after. I think it's practice for parents in realizing how little control you have over things from that point forward.

BTW, I think you're gonna be a fabulous granny.

Barb, my mom's b-day is also Dec 28th. She's hated it her whole life. January is a better month.

Josh is a twin so he also has to share his birthday. He actually LOVES it.
Sadly - Dec 28 is also Ex's birthday. BOO!!!
