I just got a new job I really wanted and I have been super anxious waiting for the confirmation. So, last night I was in a GENUINE good mood. Husband always initiates small talk with me and as part of creating some distance Ive been keeping it brief.

But last night, I was more chatty, but with no important talk. But to be honest, my being genuinely happy and more confident about the future seemed to piss him off.

Husband and I havent talked about anything but him and his job for several years or maybe always - Im not sure if he has any other interests.

Definitely something to think about.

"Yes! It is hard because you can't complain, whine, seem controlling, talk about your R or your future, or ask any questions about your WAS."

Is that really what you talked about when you first met your spouse for the first time? Of course not. You started with something small and then let it go from there. I would hope that if you met someone new, that you wouldn't be talking about these things on your first date.
