Everyone is right. It's a very long rollercoaster ride.

My H was dead set on getting a D, now he's "not thinking that far ahead" and is happy to just be officially separated. And he's been a lot more open and chatty since our separation went from "trial" to "official".

You've still got a long way to go, stay strong.

Thanks, NQ.

I went with H to his dr. appt. this AM and after talking to his dr., he was prescribed ADs. I think this is a good thing for him and hope that he will take them and feel less negative all of the time.

AD made H feel really sick (nauseated) last night. Hoping that feeling goes away so he will continue to take them!

Most A/D's are SSRI drugs. Seratonin resides in the gut, so often when someone starts SSRI's they get an upset stomach and also diarrhea. It typically goes away in a couple of days. If he's doing a step-up plan (IE, the dosage increases over time) then he may experience stomach problems again when it increases. Just tell him it takes a while for these drugs to stabilize and become effective, he should not quit taking them because of some temporary discomfort. He may also feel out-of-sorts for a few days or a week, but again he needs to keep taking them so they can stabilize.

Thanks for the insight, AS! He is doing the step-up plan, so hopefully after a few days he will feel better.

Not much new on the home front as of right now. Things are going well between H and I right now after our awful last weekend. Our 3 day trip to FL is next week and our cruise is in 3 weeks and I am looking forward to both! I am also on the job hunt - I need to make more money and also need to be at a place where I can see myself at long-term and as a career (I like my job now, but make peanuts and do not see myself moving up here). Wish me luck! smile I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi CP, thanks! I haven't heard anything yet from several applications I put out last week, but I hope at least a couple give me a chance for at least a phone interview at the least. The market is pretty tough right now! I'm looking forward to our quick trip to FL at the end of this week and then will have the cruise to look forward to, followed by my S's 2nd birthday and party next month! Fall is my favorite time of year, and I cannot wait for it to cool off some (still in the upper 90s most days) so I can bake yummy pumpkin things and take my S outside to play and on walks!

Hey everyone, I'm still here. We had our quick FL trip a few days ago and had a great time. Things have been great the past couple of weeks since our fight. H has been all over me and so sweet and helpful. I keep trying to remind myself that this is most likely just an "up" on the rollercoaster, but I'm also keeping small hope that this is real. He's been on the ADs for two weeks now and so far, so good (no more nausea). Will keep everyone updated.
