Long time no see Carnac!! The game was awesome. Actually the whole weekend was amazing! Ill have to back up to Friday when my dear D came to town. I asked what she would like to do that afternoon. She said she would like to go shopping, but she wanted to know if she could stop to see X on the way to Rockford. Took me by surprise to be honest because their relationship hasnt been good for awhile. So I drove her to the site, he didnt know we were coming. We get there, she starts walking towards him, then starts running and they hug in a full embrace. While she is headed to him, I walk over to the co-workers. Jim says... Whats going in here? (As D was walking towards X) I told him I wasnt sure but she had asked to see X. Jim says.. this is about thw best thing that has happened today. This has been needed ... X and D are headex back to the three of us by this point. We all talk about 5 minutes or so when X says... why don't we head over this way and we can talk more. So the three of us head over to where my car was parked. They talk another 5 or 10 minutes then X says he needs to get back to work. He gives D another hug, then hesitates as if hes expecting one from me. I turned and wished him a good day and started walking towards the car. D gets in the car and states the same thought I had that he was looking for a hug from me. She then says that when she ran to him when we first got there, when they hugged - he said -anything Hey honey. Its good to see you .. but she said his voice cracked as if he may start crying. I cant tell you how warm my heart was with this interaction between them. It totally made my Friday. She ended up going to the homecoming game that night so she could see her old friends.
Saturday, more shopping. Then out for Hibachi dinner with my kids, my two best GFs and their kids. Best night ever in a long time.
Sunday, I drove D back to where her Dad was staying. I hated to see her leave. But I am so proud of her for the person she has changed into just the short time down south. C and I headed to the game from there. Best time ever hands down. I dont think I have seen C smile as much as he did that day. He was alittle upset our seats werent as low as he wanted because he thought he might be able to catch a football if we were lower. I had to explain to him football isnt anything like baseball where you may catch a ball. We left about 7 minutes left of the game to beat the rush. Best day ever for him.
Tonight was my therapy session and I am proud to say my therapist has lifted the NC ban. I asked him if he was feeling confident in me. His reply was No. You are feeling confidence within yourself. And it shows. You are going to be ok. Then he proceeded to tell me that he was proud of me as well how far Ive come. So. Im pretty sure I can chalk this weekend with today as an addition to be one of the best in a really, long time. Happy Monday!

MrsD: It has been a while.....sound like you had an incredible weekend, good for you. Glad to know that your entire weekend was filled with smiles and happiness....and most importantly you didnt once in your post talk about him and her....it shows real growth for you.
Im sure C though the game was awesome....I remember the first time I took mine to a game, we still go about 2-3 times a year and he loves it every time. Have a great Tuesday.
Thanks Unbidden and Carnac! The weekend was amazing for sure and filled with smiles and laughter. All in all, C really needed fun. Hes still struggling alot with the whole divorce. Id be lying though Carnac if I didnt think about the two of them this weekend - but you know what? Im too the point where I really dont care what the are doing much. Sure, it still hurts knowing they are spending all their time together. Anytime they may have ventured into my mind I told myself God has a plan for me. Stick with what you are doing. You are going to be alright no matter what. And it seemed to work. X and GF may be making memories with each other - but you know what?? I was making the BEST memories with MY KIDS. And they matter so much more to me than whatever X and GF are doing.
Dont get me wrong. I still would love a chance to make things work between he and I. But he isnt consuming ME anymore.
BTW - I think I have created a monster with the football games. Hes already asking to go to the Bear/Packer game in December. Might be alittle cold for him.. We will see. Happy Tuesday!

Today we buried a fellow co-worker who was 40 yrs young and an amazing husband and father. Its crazy you just dont know when its your time.... that being said. I called X to tell him how much he means to me -the even though Im sure he knows.
I couldnt imagine what his wife and daughters are going through, and it pains me if X was never completely there.
Nothing more is going on..... Just a journal. Reach out to those you love. Life is short.

Not alot to relay today.. Ive had C all week because X has been working OT all week. Course he could have taken him last night but he had computers to work on, and it was Thursday. GF night. Just makes me hurt more for C because he really doesnt come first in Xs life. Its all about fun for him right now. But it is his weekend to have him. I am not sure if he has to work late tonight or not. And to be honest, I would love to have C with me anyway since he really is my life right now.
WI Badger game tomorrow with friends. Im looking forward to that, but not really looking forward to getting the long underwear out!! Brr!! LOL Then Sunday is my nieces baptism and golf in the afternoon. Im looking forward to seeing my family on Sunday. Hope all has a wonderful weekend! HAppy Friday.

MrsD: Your MIA as long as me....whats up? My life is good, and absolutely no change in my sitch but im moving forward with a smile...thinking of taking son on a cruise in March.... who knows, but what I do know is im not going to keep putting things off because there's life to be lived out there.
