Well just when you think you might know whats going on......went to church tonight and wife was there. She has always taught 5 year olds in the fall quarter with another lady at church on Wednesday nights and I had no idea really if she would show or not. I was hopeful, but with the way things had been I was at least somewhat doubtful that she would continue to do it. Shows how little I know and why Im working hard at not mind reading. I didnt speak to her, actually intentionally tried to avoid her b/c I want her to feel comfortable being there but I can tell you without a doubt that i was happy to pull in the parking lot and see her car.
And as a bonus mini-me (s11) decided he would come home and stay with me tonight and im always happier when he and I are together. We went and got as slush puppy and did some long division and then we prayed and he went to bed. All in all its been a good night and im looking forward to the next few days. I've only got one more day to work this week then im off Friday to play in a charity tournament with some good friends
Tonight was hectic to say the least. But there was a small bit of positive, we had practice and my wife sat out with some other parents the entire time. She and I didnt really interact but that was somewhat by design, im really trying not to have interaction with her right now so I can figure out how to detach more. Its really the one thing I don't feel i've done that well at.
But while it may be a tiny step, she wasn't willing to even sit out with other parents in the last couple of months, she'd come home and sequester (sp?) herself in the house sometimes alone and other times with one other parent and would draw the shades closed and avoid everyone. Tonight she sat out and talked with quite a few others all throughout practice so maybe the wall isn't quite as solid as it once was.

Arsene, I want to believe that these are little steps, and I guess in some aspect they are, but im not real sure they are little steps back toward me or us. Maybe im just not feeling it today for some reason, or maybe im being more of a realist right now, but im at a bit of a loss on what I should be doing right now. Im doing ok on GAL, im not pursuing, im a little detached and its been over 3 months now and really nothing has changed at all.
I think im going to just try to 'be' for a while and see if I can not stress about this so much, thats something that i've still not done a great job at.

Good idea, Carnac! Also, keep busy with the GAL and try to keep your mind occupied on other things. That really is the trick!
