Sorry Kev, I've been quite busy Tuesdays are crazy days for me...

And the truth is, so far, nothing has happened... , or nothing new, I should say. We seem to be on the way to establishing a new morning routine... ... Our D monopolized Daddy all day yesterday: went with him to do the grocery shopping and then to McDonald's (not Chick Fil A for Daddy, holdingon... I am the health conscious parent... ) And they spent most of the evening together. I really think she needed some major 1:1 time with Dad, so I left them alone. Final score was D 20, Daddy 0...

So, as soon as I have something, I will update. He is having dinner tonight with a (male) friend of ours who seems to have a bussiness proposal for him.

And mindful of my instructions, I have not brought any topic up... yet.

Hey Opt. (((((HUGS)))))

Yipeeeee! Woohooooooo!

What great news to come home to - your H is back home!
As I caught up (54 posts) I had tears in my eyes...my boys wondered why mommy was crying at the computer.

They are happy tears for you, your DD and your H. I am sure that your willingness (okay, or "not any choice in the matter-ness") to give your H the time away meant a great deal to him.

If he truly is shutting down business and wiping slate clean of everything involved there, maybe he needed to privately grieve that part of what is now his past.

Now you can build a future together as a team. I loved HoldingOn's post with the tips listed - I am keeping a copy for myself. I hope to join your ranks sometime and as everyone else has said, the real work begins now.

Everything else was your DBing 101 and now you can move on the the advanced course! Yeah for you!

Good for you for allowing your D to have that catch-up time with your H. Kids do need the closeness while I find that nearness is okay for me sometimes.

I am just so proud of you and happy for you! Keep us posted so we can all learn from your example!

Optimist - your comment on my thread -

You forgot to add 'never say never' in your second paragraph, Ellie

Yeah, how many of us thought infidelity could NEVER happen to OUR marriages ? Raise your hands, everybody

BTW - I was all ready to tell you to go file a missing person's report and get an attorney and a P.I. - just goes to show what can happen when you ASSume - thanks for re-teaching me that lesson - you rock!
