Could be! There's an email history here that's why I assumed she was miffed coz I haven't been responding but you could be right.

I think that kind of goes with not putting all your eggs in one basket. If you're emailing then stop - most women wonder why. Best to keep communicating until you meet them and then decide if you want to continue.

Get what I mean?

I told her nicely I wasn't interested but she keeps emailing off and on. I stopped because I don't reply because I don't want to encourage her by being Mr. Nice guy. Initially I was responding to everyone who emailed me but I've stopped doing that.

Hmmm.... that's different. If you told her you're not interested and she's kept it up - she's a whackjob. Best to steer clear of that one!

I've had a couple like that. They don't inundate me with emails but somehow don't quite get that no means no. I just ignore them and usually they go away.
Hey, I notice in some profiles women will indicate for occupation "I've got one" or "I'll tell you later" What are they hookers or something and can't say "banking" "customer service" "whatever you want me to be" lol? I put "health care" rather than social worker because I don't want those who are emotionally needy seeking me out, but I at least indicate what field I'm in. When I see that in a profile it is one of those red flags that push me towards not contacting the person. Is your occupation such a personal thing you can't talk about it? I imagine either you're unemployed or in a very low paying job but who knows cuz they don't say. It just strikes me as strange. That piece of info is one small measure of whether you have something in common or not, why leave it out?

Why leave it out? Well, one of our friends here is a doctor. She might not want that on her profile because it could attract Gold Diggers. Others could have had very successful careers but be briefly between employment. Still others might be stay at home moms looking for a baby daddy or sugar daddy. Who knows?

I see your point about wanting to know but keep in mind - it might not be as it seems.

Income level - I never listed mine. I wanted to find someone with similar income. I was not looking for someone to support me but I wasn't looking to support them either. Or someone in lots of debt. I was looking for an equal partner but preferred to find that out on my own.

Yeah, if I was a doctor I'd put "health care", just as I do. Again, being a social worker can lead people with problems to think that here's someone who'll take care of me. As far as income, I agree, that's nobody's business really, I'm ok with people leaving that out. It's awkward through an initial contact to ask "how long have you been separated" or "what do you do for a living" or "how old are your kids" or "why is your screen name Bitter" lol The easier you make it for someone to guage who you are, as impossible as that may be on an online dating site, the more likely people will contact you. There's enough uncertainty in contacting someone you don't know without having to wonder "why is this person not mentioning..." Hey, maybe that's just me and my anxiety about doing something I've never done before and never dreamed I would be doing...I dunno smile
Btw, the divorce papers have been filed with the court and next Voldy will be served the papers. Did I mention I really hate this? I'm doing the best I can, trying to be decent...it just [censored]. I wanted to deliver the papers myself but that's not OK, understandably. Anyway, that's my update.
Happy Thanksgiving my American friends! Divine Love blesses and multiplies all that we have, all that we give and all that we recieve! Have a great one...and 3 football games on a Thursday, what's not to be thankful for! lol.

Thanks G, I actually do contact women outside my profession, it's just nice to know what someone does. It helps you mentally to prepare if you end up meeting them. I don't exclude someone because, let's say, they are an accountant. It's just info that's helpful in thinking about what you might ask someone if you meet, that's all. I feel most comfortable when all those little things seem to be in place when I read a profile. I don't wanna be guessing more than I have to. Just me...maybe!

I've been trying to reach STBX today to tell her the process server may be by tonight. All day I got "the customer you are calling cannot be reached at this time" So, as I left work I tried again. I got an answer, I said "Hi, it's me. I just wanted to let you know that the process server may be by tonight to serve you the papers" and the reply was "Daddy, what are talking about?" Oops!
