Journaling...
Well things are still going good. Went out to dinner last night with W and son (old Chicago Pizza). When we got home W retreated to the front room to watch her soaps while son a I went to family room to watch a star wars movie. About half way through our movie wife decided she wanted to come and watch it with us. She asked me if I wanted a drink and she fixed her and I a rum and coke.

Watched the rest of the movie and wife did refresh our drinks once during the movie.
Son is out of school this week and since I start school in two weeks (yea) He wanted to go on an overnight camping trip tonight out at the coast. Well…It is supposed to start raining soon and all day tomorrow but I figure what the heck. He is 13 and pretty soon will not want to spend time with old Dad so I guess we are going camping in the rain.
I made homemade cookies the other day to take camping with us. While I was making them wife came into the kitchen. She said they smelled good but she is not into sweets like cookies she likes to snack on chips. Well she did have one and them came back and asked me to make some for her to take Camping with her an her GF’s.. They are going camping next weekend.(Yes I know this is true.) She does not like going camping in our camper because if goes on the back of my pick-up and it is hard for her to get into and even harder for her to climb up into the bed. Her GF has a Winnebago camper with regular beds in it. She goes on these two day trips once in a while as a ‘Girls night out’
Anyway it should be an Adventure though. Sitting in the camper with a rain storm outside. He wants to teach me how to play chess. So I guess I will not bring any beer just soda.

Well got ta go a load the camper before the rain starts

Well my friends,

Camping was great, It only rained when we first got there then the sun came out and we were about to have a campfire. Couldn't sit down everything was wet. Son didn't feel like teaching his old man chess so we played checkers instead and I beat him.

Ok it is now official. I just got back from Empire College and I AM A STUDENT. School starts April 12th. I am a little scared, nervous, apprehensive...but every journey starts out that way right?
As soon as I am situated in school I will again start working on my R. In the mean time it's GALing....

Journaling,

Just got back from orientation. Things went great. Only have 3 classes for the first module. 1. Key boarding (like I don't get practice here) 2.Command line scripting... (Dos) Yuk. AND 3.Thought patterns for a successful career this is by "the pacific Institute"
I can sure use this because it not only is Career orientated but also about self esteem and positive thinking.

I had a bad morning that I do not want to get into... (Thanks Jojo for letting me vent)
My w has left for a two night camping trip with her GF's and something was said that I took personal. But I did not respond really but when I left for school I just said. "Have a good time" and I left instead of going into her office to say good bye.
Have to watch that I know.....
Well its son and I again for a few days but of course right now he is down at his buddy’s house so it's just me and the dog...

Well Wife just called from her camping trip to see how orientation went...

First day of school.(happy B day Irish)

Pisces
By Rick Levine
You have a high level of self-esteem, but unfortunately you may not be able to rely on it when you need it later today. What makes it even more difficult is the fact that you cannot save a positive attitude like you would a computer file, to open up at a later time. But don't let the changing circumstances throw you for a loop. Wait it out; your optimism will return in a few days.

I am taking I.T courses crazy

Journaling,

First let me start off with First day of school was GREAT. Ok I was a little nervous today but I can’t wait to go back tomorrow.

Ok so back to journaling,

Last night at dinner wife wanted to see my school schedule and read about what classes I am taking. She was really excited and said “I want to go”.
Then this morning when I was getting ready to leave. I got dressed in my ‘school clothes’ (I went out and bought some new shirts and pants) I stopped by her office door to say good bye. She smiled at me… Got up…. Came over to the doorway where I was standing and gave me a hug AND a kiss AND said “I am proud of you”. I kissed her back and said “We are starting a new chapter in OUR lives”

When I got home she wanted to hear how my day went.
CL Buddy…I so envy you and your wife’s connection through dancing… Me I can’t really dance... Wife has no interest in the cars I rebuild or the gardens I take care of BUT….. She is into computers... and I think this is going to be her “love language” sort of.

Well got to go Read my Homework assignment...

Doc,
I never would have guessed five years ago when I went with my W to a Salsa venue, that it would evolve into a hobby that would revitalize me and our M. You'll find one too with your W--as you say, maybe the computer.

I think the solution involves each person being willing to venture over into the other's world, and allow themselves to explore. This is the opportunity in M, if one is willing to take it.
