Yep, she was clearly waiting. I guess she probably always has the phone, but she was waiting! She got kinda flustered when the headphones wouldn't untangle... nerves?
Her eyes got my attention more than any thoughts of "other" activities. Maybe I wouldn't make a good millionaire!
There's a guy at work that is sort of one of my "customers". He writes and executes test plans on the equipment that I am responsible for. When we work together, I try to be friendly, as I would with anyone, but nothing unusual. His English is hard to understand, a difficult accent, but I try to do my best.
Anyway, this afternoon he came to my desk, and talked a little about the next test he needs me for, but it was obvious that wasn't why he came over. It turned out he had concerns over the health of the precious occupant of the cube he is being moved into, and he said I was the only person he thought he could talk to about it!
Hopefully I reassured him, and helped to reduce his worries. But really, it told me something about me that I didn't really know. As I have said before, I don't really have an outside of work relationship with anyone at work, so it was a surprise to me.
So you did BobbiJo. I didn't have any idea he thought of me as a good friend. It's another piece of evidence that contradicts what XW was trying to get me to believe about me. It felt like she was on a campaign to convince me that I was judgmental and selfish. This would seem to suggest otherwise. I like that!
Slept rotten last night, sore throat, coughing up lungs. Ran out of lozenges, so I went on a search and found some throat spray, which I think saved my life. Still was really tired, spent most of the day in bed. I think it did me some good, I got up about 4, took a shower, and the kids and I went and had Mongolian BBQ. Throat is still a little sore, but the coughing is way down. I'm pretty sure it's all allergies, we had nice rain this winter, and now lots of stuff is growing!
Ok...what was on the discovery channel that we shouldn't have seen? Curious minds want to know.
So your xw was trying to make you believe you were judgmental and selfish??????? WTH????? Seriously....12,455 posts here, mostly to other people, being helpful, kind, funny, and hefting 2x4's when needed doesn't equal a selfish, judgmental person to me!
