Have you priced flights to Seattle, Sandy? I have in the recent past (I have friends there, and was looking into attending a conference in the area), and it's not pretty...at least from where I am, which is a major midwestern hub...best I've been able to find is $500-600 round trip, which seems like a lot to me. I have not priced anything overseas, though, since right now I can't even afford a modest hotel nearby for a few days, much less the price of getting somewhere farther away!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could set up a virtual gathering and bypass the travel expenses? Or that we will all become rich in the next year?

Peace,
Dawn

Kalni,
Just caught up on your thread-- I am apoplectic over your POS H. You are going to be so much better off without him-- the man's a waste of carbon. Ditto the slut.

It's nice to daydream and be able to travel. Unfortunately, travelling when you have 2 little kids in school becomes a luxury, not to mention money...

I am circling thru emotions of anger, disbelief and disappointement. But it is getting easier and I think this time it will be a matter of days. Last night even while talking about time of the kid's departure I surprised him by being my old usual self. Hanging up the phone I felt calmer. I know it takes time but I also know how to do it.

Went fot a haircut today. Maybe meet my friends tonight. Life goes on.

My uncle gave me money thru my dad to buy a new TV set. Old one is broken and I didnt want to spend money on it. I guess dad told him the story and it's his way of reaching out to help. My family is great. My friends are too. My kids are perfect. You guys are amazing.
Thanks
K

Well I guess there is nothing quite like experience. It was easier for me the second time around (after piecing failed) as well, however, I can not say that it took three, four days.
Your uncle gave you money for a tv? I guess the whole family knows, not to mention the "community"....i know how quickly news travels....well the way you described your husband, the knowledge that alot of folks know must bother him quite a bit.

One more thing .... good for you for the haircut and going out with some friends. That is the way to go K....now let me see, yesterday you told me you would be alone the rest of your life....I bet there will be a few guys that catch your eye and vice versa this evening!

K,
I am never (almost never wink ) looking, but sometimes a guy will still catch my eye...not that I act on it. But it's fun to look!

Funny you got a haircut today, I go for a highlight today. Putting in some more blonde before I go back to school.

Have fun with your friends! Nice the sun is out in Athens today. smile

Eh the flirting can be a huge ego boost. You don't have to do anything you are not ready for, but the mere fact that there is someone who finds you attractive does wonders for the self esteem.

Especially when they are younger wink

Im still standin better than I ever did looking like a true survivor feeling like a little kid Im still standin after all this time and Im picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..
