Mish, I am so glad to hear that your mom is more understanding and able to help than you expected.

Mish, I am trying to think of new releases that might have more videos available. "Taken" was really good and suspenseful, "Iron Man" was also good. I have been watching more foreign films lately that are comedies: "Keeping Mum" is really cute but you also have to like British humor(I do), same for "Death at a Funeral". I just watched The Valet, which is a French film (hiding an affair is the background of the story but still really funny.) Just some ideas.

Thanks! Keeping Mum? I'll have to look that one up. I love British humor. I have spent many Saturday nights laughing heartily at Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served, Waiting for God, To the Manor Born, Fawlty Towers, and As Time Goes By. I LOVE THOSE!

I keep hearing really good things about "Taken" and Liam Neesam(sp?) is awesome!

I'm hoping Gabe leaves me alone this weekend. I could use some peace. smile

We didn't. My mom was watching HGTV and the line at the moviecube was too long so I left.

Took Marc to Harry Potter tonight. It was very good. They managed to stay pretty close to the book so that was good. I hear they are making the last book into 2 separate movies.

Hi Mishka

I can't believe you have seen Keeping up Appearances smile I used to love that and Waiting For God used to make me crack up. Now if you want funny Only Fools and Horses will do it. Especially this scene - makes me die every time.

I saw Harry Potter at the weekend - it wasn't the most exciting of them but I still really enjoyed it.

How was your weekend?

Hey Julia!

I've never heard of Only Fools and Horses. We only get the Britcoms long after they are off the air there. I'll take a look at that link when I get home. My speakers here at work don't work properly so I can only hear every third word. That's why I'm now stuck to listening to country music all day in my office with the rest of the girls. I like it, but only in small doses! Much rather be listening to Cold Play, Offspring, U2, Depeche Mode, etc....oh well. You'd think being the senior agent in the office would get me what I want in music choice....NOT! smile I'm outnumbered by country bumpkins around here. grin

I was just glad they didn't tear the book to shreds to try to cut too much story out. There was one point in the movie that I knew what was coming but even then, when it happened, Marc and I both jumped about a foot out of our seats!

My weekend was fine. Marc and I have a bit of a ritual. If we go the movie in the next town over we have to go the Krystal and get a sackful. For those of you who don't know what Krystal (or White Castle) is, it's a place that specializes in these little burgers that are basically all bun with very little meat in the middle. smile They're tasty but SUPER bad for you. Marc loves them and it's his favorite treat. Since it was our mom and me night out I decided to accommodate him. We took them home and vegetated on the couch together for a while.

I woke up WAY too late for church yesterday so I stayed home and made breakfast for everyone and then got a bike rack for my car (thanks to mom) and loaded the bikes for Marc and I to go for a ride. It was a beautiful day, not humid at all and only 83 degrees with a breeze. VERY unusual for GA in July.

Didn't have to talk to or text Gabe all weekend. It was nice and calm. He called Marc a couple of times and Marc told him what we were doing but I didn't have to interact with him...YEA!!!

I can't wait to look that up. We watch the comedies on our PBS stations here (Public Broadcast) but BBC America has them on sometimes too. I'll have to search there for it and see if they every show it.

I cope just fine as long as I don't think ahead, don't think about a future, just live in the now and stay FAR away from Gabe.

I guess it's called existing. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. Works for me.
