:0 DC was a blast..... No creatures came alive in the museums,,, bummer! Dinner was awesome. I mean really awesome. Beautiful resturant and great company. Sat next to a congressman and the resturant staff fell all over him... He and his date had about 9 plates brought to him for tasting...OUR tax dollars at their finest. It was neat! Tour of the city at night..wow! The monuments lit up at night were awesome.
Oh yeah... and a really good martini
Took daughter to a concert (blues traveler) at the outdoor pavilion. She had a blast. Was a school night but they only have one more day of school and are just playing games. So that only makes me 50% of a BAD DAD. We went with another family and had a blast.
Did learn my first lesson about being a recent single. If you meet a person in a bar and then the next time you see them is with your eight year old sitting on your shoulders.... the meetings end up being completely different experiences LOL!!! Not to mention the question, "who was that dad?"
The new job is finally starting to come along. All my customers so far "hate us".... So I have no where to go but up...
I did get a great deal done when it looked like it was going to fall through. All it took was letting some guy yell at me and vent for about an hour without loosing my cool... heck it was easy... an angry wife has given me lots of practice. see who ever said DBing wouldn't pay off.
And for my true supporters and advisors (you know who you are) We had to meet at the bank and cash income tax return checks. I was thinking that since she is paying the mortgage I should ive her more than a 50/50 split.... then I thought WTH.. I left the house with hardly any furnature, giving her more than required child support and living in a much more "economical" house (that means the carpet is butt ugly).. so why split it??? It was killing me but I stuck to it and walked out with 50%.... minor successes.... I'm working on that co dependency thing LOL!
SO for anyone that takes offense to the light heartedness, I don't mean to be insensitive (most people I think know that already) but things are going pretty well...
I still have issues, wife still has issues and daughter still......has parents with issues
I am glad you had a good time in DC! I do love that city. There is an aura there that really vibes with me. And the food there is amazing! Little hole in the walls are great! And you never know who is sitting next to you! Its funny!
I am glad that you were able to spend some good times with your daughter. That will be an important event for her as well!
I just wanted to say that you are so NOT insensitive....just REAL....trying to deal with life and what it has thrown your way! Sometimes it is really important to put some levity in our crazy lives!
Heya Kenn, I think ya done good .... taking your 50 & runnin off to DC!!! Your DC trip does sound like it was A LOT of fun. Always good to know our tax dollars are being well spent!!
