OK.........

Here's an update.

Don't laugh, it really isn't funny. Well kinda, but not really.

Today was the inspection for the roof.

They also had to inspect the whole house, so I spent all of yesterday completely cleaning and and making everything perfect.

The Man showed up a hour late.

But I didn't say a word, just smiled and acted warm and friendly.

He saw the roof and said that I did indeed need a new roof.

The he came around the other side of the house and saw the apartment.

That was going to be a problem, as they only help one family homes. But he said we might be able to work around that, as my tenant will be moving out soon as he lost his job, and S23 will be moving in to study for the LSAT.

The we went through the rest of the house, and he told me that he had run a Historical fact thingy on my house and that there were some things that they were unable to do as it would affect the integrity fo the home.

Now heres the bad part...........

As we started to go up the stairs, he knocked over a Yankee candle that was burning.

Wax went everywhere........

And all over him.....Blech!

He said I ruined his $50 shirt.

He is a large man.

Things went downhill from there.

He wasn't happy anymore.

He didn't say a word about the wax all over my wall and wood floors.

I apologized profusely, even though he was the one who knocked it over.

He made some comments about the windows, as some of them are old.

He saw the basement, which has a sump pump and alot of dampness.

He told me that there were alot of things that needed to be worked out and then he left.

So, who knows what will happen now.

I think I may send him a check for $50 to cover the cost of his shirt. I don't want it considered a bribe but if it will put him in a good mood, it is an investment.

OY.......

Why the heck do these things always happen to me!!!!!!!

BND,
I wouldn't send him a check. Bozo knocked the candle over, therefore, it's his fault that his shirt was a mess. If anything, he needs to be sending you a check for the mess he created in your home. Also, it would look like a bribe. Don't go down that street. Request another inspector to come out.

BND, I wouldn't send him a check either as it would look like a bribe. Things do happen - don't feel singled out. (((BND)))

I heard from the inspector......

He told me not to worry about his shirt and that he had sent my paperwork to the higher ups to see if it could be approved.

I appealed my Unemployment denial.
I did it based on principal, as my former Employed told Unemployment that they had no idea as to why I quit my job.

Tonight my D13 graduates from Middle School...........

Now I am off to see the dermatologist about a growth I have had on my nose.

Have a blessed day.........

Great - about the inspector
Not great - about unemployment
Great - Congrats to your daughter
Not great - growth on your nose (although I am sure it's
nothing)

Gee, I see the rollercoaster of life just goes on - LOL!
I am sure everything will work out ok. You and your family, as always, are in my prayers.

Yes it's a bloody rollercoaster...................

I wish things would just calm down in my life, but it never seems to end.

I guess I need to learn how to deal with the stuff that comes at me a little better. But it seems as though I never get breathing space to recover from each thing.

I hear ya, BND, the stuff just keeps coming. I am learning to give to God the things I have no control over. No other way, for me.

Hang in there.
