I will be out of my office tomorrow for a dept. golf outting and H and I are leaving town as soon as I am finished.

I have a hair apt. this evening and then have to pick up the food we are taking and pack.

Gotta throw some laundry in there someplace too. Oh well! Isn't it amazing how even routine chores seem easier to do when life is going better?

I believe I have learned not to take ANYTHING for granted. In the space of one short year almost everything was turned upside down.

I am very grateful to have been given a second chance....with it all.

I'm not sure what we have planned for the weekend. My W was out of town since Tuesday and is on her way home now. We have a birthday party for her brother's wife tonight and her sister on Sunday. Friday I plan to finally see Batman.....I need to get a break and get out of the house and have some adult time to myself....lol

I am right there with you as far as being grateful....I just feel lucky to have a second shot at a R I should have got right the first time.

Have a great weekend.....get a couple birdies!

I hope you have a great "homecoming." And enjoy the birthday parties. I know that you are enjoying being a family again.

I'd love to get a couple of birdies....it's never happened before and it would knock H's socks off!

Just wanted to tell you all that H and I survived our weekend together, and had a good time.

Was not as "romantic" as I had hoped, but we had fun and only tense moments were on the drive up when the Alien appeared in the car.

I just acted "as if". I knew it was because he was hung over from his late night at the pub on Thursday and was not prepared to leave for our trip. He was also jealous, I think, that I had been at a golf outing Friday during the day. I had worked very hard on Thrusday night to get everything around and ready. I was organized and ready to go. He was not, and felt hot, dusty and tired as well.

Oh well. It passed and we had fun for the rest of the weekend \:\)

Great Job! Glad the weekend went well....looks like you are getting in tune with what is going on inside your H's head

I think I might be doing just that.

I wanted to tell you that Thursday evening my H said to me "so, you blew me off for lunch today?" I reminded him that I had a Dr. appt., he had forgotten. He then told me that the inspector on the job site had asked where I was that day, and H had told him "I don't know, I called her office and got no amswer." He then told me that the inspector said "well I don't blame her, she came over here two days in a row to have lunch with you, and you were too busy to even spend any time with her."

H said he tried to defend himself, and the inspector wouldn't have any of it. He said "all I know is that She came over here to see you twice. H said to me, "wow, you really made an impression on him."

The funny thing is that H also told that same story to the EA's dad when we were up north this weekend. They were working at the same jobsite, but the inspector and the dad are with the same company. \:\)

That was a nice little bonus. It still makes me smile to think about it.

Hope,

That is great. The best part is he wanted to have you come over for lunch again!

Our weekend was pretty uneventful. We had a couple birthday parties and we painted the walls that surround the fireplce and the kids room and bought wood flooring to put down through the main part of the house....now I just need to learn how to do it.....lol

TD,
Can't help you with the flooring, lol. I've never done it myself, but I have watched it on one of the home improvement channels.

You're an engineer right??? I'm betting that it won't be too much of a problem.

My H and I gutted and remodeled the 150 year old farmhouse that we now live in. It took 19 months. We did quite a bit of the work, but hired the floors done. We also did not live there while we were doing the work.

My H is a perfectionist. He, my g.f and I did all of the insulation. He would have a fit if the lettering on the insulation was not all right side up! Nothing that you ever see since it's covered by drywall...

Of course we f'd with him by purposely putting some in upside down! \:\)
