Yo Kris

Things are ok. Work was great. Aside from having a piece of gum I really did not think of smoking at all. BUT... When I got home and started helping son with home work I was getting a little frustrated. I had asked wife to look over the grammar on the project we have been working on a few days ago. Well today I gave to her. After correcting my mistakes. She said “I wish you would have read this before you gave it to me" I (stupidly) became defensive and said
ME: Of course I read it I wrote it. If you would have read it when I first asked you too I could have fixed it.
Wife: YOU never told me to read it.
ME: Yes I did it has been on the table
Wife: nobody handed it to me.
Me: Just like you did not "hand me" the cookie order. That is where we have a communication problem.
Wife: well with our money sitch we should not have ordered any cookies anyway
We both then dropped it.
So I was thinking that before I go to bed I am going to say I am sorry for arguing with her today and I know it is now excuse but I have not had a Cigarette on two days...

Also a little later this evening Wife said her mom wants us to take her to "Voulpis". It was a bar we used to go to. BEFORE the A when we returned we would usually have sex. I told her that I don't want to go to Voulpis until we work things out...
I need to talk to Bomb on the other board. He is going through allot right now but I need to ask him about the AD meds I am on. I have been taking then now for 2 weeks. It really does not make me feel any different except it is easier to distract myself from smoking.

Ok I need to go to bed now

later

H,
Just my opinion...

A night at Voulpis sounds to me like a perfect chance at shaking things up a little. What would happen if it were the 'perfect' evening? What if you were to act 'As If' everything is how it should be. Flirt with her while you are there and on the way home. If things are going well up to that point, make a comment like "This night brought back some really good memories. Remember what we would normally do after getting back home from the restaurant?"

I don't know why you need to wait until everything is back to 'normal' to do something that should be normal. Yes it could turn into nothing and / or backfire, and I know I've gotten myself worked up with my own expectations, but I think it could be a good chance at moving forward.

Husband,
I have to agree with HFF. Who knows this may be her way of reaching out to you. I see it as a huge positive that she wants to spend adult time with you even if it is with her mother. It seems like it has been a long time since she has extended you an invitation! Go for it! Who knows you she may get a little intoxicated and take advantage of you!

Tell her that you were having a bad day with trying to quit smoking when you told her no. You could say that you have changed your mind and you think a night out with her and her mother would be great!

Just my 2 cents...

PS I'm very proud of you for your success of quitting smoking, you are getting there!

Ok yoyo and HFF Thanks

So last night before I went to bed I went to her and said. “I am sorry I argued with you today. I know it is not an excuse but I have not had a Cigarette in two days (NOW THREE).
W said "don't worry about it"
So today I came home from work and W as at her computer. She was all bundled up. I walked over to her and asked "are you cold" She said "ya it's cold in here". I put my hands on her shoulders and kissed the top of her head. (This is new to me. Being close to her because before when I WAS a smoker I knew the smell bothered her so I kept my distance.) I told her to turn the heat up or move the space heater in here.
After son got out of school we went to the town museum because they just rebuilt the town clock and it was on display there. (Wife’s Idea) But when we got there it was closed.
So here I am. Well I need to get busy to keep my mind off of Things....

Oh ya... I did not want to carry any money on me because I did not want to be tempted to buy any Cig.s…..Well I ended up with $10.00 in my pocket Saturday and it is still there... There have been times that I missed the Rush... But I have not thought of buying any Pretty good huh... saved $17.50 so far. I don’t see it because we don’t have it but I saved it...

Bye

I doubt that is likely. I bet it will all come back to you. Just remember to talk about whatever pops up...
