Ok, I can understand the "turn ugly" scenario. So do you have a short term plan. I know she is moving out in May. Will it be wait and see, keep the door open, hope she wakes up out of lala land? I ask becasue i don't have a plan...I am leaning toward filing but i am afraid that any chance WE have would be out the window. However, another part of me says, protect yourself and get the hell out.

That is too funny, she wants to be independent as long as you help pay for it......guess "independent with help from Woog" is a new phrase for me, I will have to learn to understand it ;\)

Maybe that is like my H but the opposite. He wants to work on our marriage and stay together as long as he doesn't actually have to DO any of the work......guess he is waiting for the "good husband brain" to come in the mail......Actually I would pay for that transplant!

Anyway, just thinking of you. Saw on the weather channel there is going to be snow in ID/MT over the weekend. And some place called Stampede Pass? I assume that is remotely near you. H is in Boise today (again). Too bad he doesn't like it there and I do, but he is the one getting to go. Hope you don't get the snow, I know it kills your mood and your ability to ride the bike.

I think you mentioned that before about her signing a divorce settlement where she asked for nothing that she could later on come back and say that she signed when she was not in the right mental state and the whole D settlement could be thrown out.

It is probably best to not go legal right now.

I'm going to write all of these down and perhaps write a book. The working title is "A view from beyond reason".

What section of the book store/library will we find this book (Mystery, Horror, Science Fiction, Psychology, Adventure)?

Kerry, I have no idea where it would go. Perhaps Fantasy.

BBJ, I think its called "independent, the modified plan".

John, I have taken all the steps my lawyer says I need to do to protect myself legally and financially. He can't help with the emotional issues.

So, the wife has to go to a 3 day training for the new job. Her Mom can't come to watch the kids (I am out of town), so she called my Mom. So, now I am paying for my Mom to fly out here to watch the kids. The plane ticket cost me more than she will make in 4 weeks of working. This new job of hers is actually costing me money.

So, since she wants to be independent, maybe you could bill her for your mom's airfare? At $10/month it would only take her a few years..........

Sorry, I don't mean to make light. It is just interesting that her independence has such a big price tag. \:\)

Hi Woog,

Sometimes I really envy your wife (you know that already). But besides the reasons evrybody knows by now which I have confessed in public, there are some more.

She was fed up (obviously), decided she wants to try it "another way", she gets her chance, she gets the support, she has nobody on her case, she is "independent" and she is still loved and appreciated... SIGH, some girls are just lucky!!!

If she decides to give up on her luck, note down my number (8348963-98347XI, VIX)... (note for moderators: joking, do NOT delete post)

What does "breaks" mean? Does it mean I finally go to Greece?

Until one of us quits and never visits these forums again... But come to think of it, I like your thinking better...(you make it sound as if Greece is SOOOOO far away -just 1,5 hours away from Rome-, it is not, Idaho is ...)

Woog,

Just checking in. Thanks for the words of advice. I always appreciate hearing your thoughts b/c a guy reads things differently than I would...

Hope you have some fun lined up for yourself this weekend. If you are healthy enough again, I am sure you could use some "Woog time". \:\)
