DD is leaning towards the mermaid type with a really pretty layered hemline. I picked out some that I think she will like. I can't wait to see if any of our choices match. Sometimes I can peg her taste in clothing, but not all the time!

So I asked my S18 about the prom, and if he was going. And he said that 2 girls wanted to go with him, but he told them he wasn't going. But he thinks he'll just go to the "after parties" and then all he'd have to pay for is chipping in on the hotel room. So I sat there a little speechless, and then I said something uncomfortable like, "uh, the hotel room.... it's just so awful the way prom night ends up as sex in a hotel room night." And he said, "Mom, you say the stupidest things!" But that wasn't stupid was it? I was showing that I know what goes on. Right?

Speaking of prom...drumroll please....we now have a prom dress! Yay!!! We are good to go.

This dresss sure looks like nothing like the prom dresses I wore in the early eighties. I looked like Little Miss Bo Peep...Hers is quite sophisticated. Here take a look. It looks white in the picture, but it's actually a very pretty silver and those are fake jewels at the waist.
