I'm curious if anyone has had unconventional arrangements with spouse. This would include the following....

1. Living "separated" within the same home.
2. An "allowed" or "supported" affair ( like the french who keep mistresses)
3. Others.

It seems that everyone is either happily married, struggling, separated, or divorced. Are there any other "marriage states" where both parties are mutually fine with with something as radical as what I mentioned above?

My best friend just went through a D and his ex is his best friend and sets him up on dates with her friends. They even have kids together and this is the second husband she's done this too and she's still friends with the first one. This is really weird (to me) so it makes me wonder what other things there are out there.

Also, I just saw the movie "Secretary" which is about a nice couple who were "meant for each other" in ways that most of us wouldn't be able to relate to. It might be too personal for this forum but that would be interesting too...to know if ML actually means something other than "kiss, kiss, rub, rub, and do it". Maybe I'll save this question for another survey.

I occasionally sleep in my daughter's bedroom, but only when she's not there (1/2 time custody). Would it be any more unconventional if I told you my dog sometimes joins me in her bed? What if I told you he was a male? He's neutered, but then, so am I. He occasionally tries to kiss me, but it doesn't go very far because his breath really stinks. He's very flatulent, too, as Boxers often are. I love him, but I want to clear this up: I'm not homosexual. Nor am I into bestiality. And I'm really not into homosexual bestiality.

I have never had a sexual relationship with that dog...Mr. Boxer.

We discussed it at one time...I was grasping for anything to hold onto as I tumbled head over heals towards the ground.

When I got serious about it she freaked. I took the idea back.

Who knows, maybe we'll end up with something "alternative" someday; hard to tell where things are going, other than downhill.

About 6 yrs ago when I was trying so hard to get H back interested in anything physical I finally just said, ok, if you will not go out with me and be social (he would not even go to a party or dance or anything with me) I am going to start going out with friends. His idea of a good night is sitting in front of the TV watching Sci-fi. About a month later, out of the blue, he said to me......... You know if you find someone you would like to spend the night with just call and let me know you will not be home so I don't worry I could not believe he said that.

HD I am LMAO here, love your humor.

Annette
