What's the best way to deal with W's text. Should I tell her to stop sending? Should I respond when there not about kids? Seems she is sending more text the more I detach. How do I proceed? I ignore them and when she gets home she bust my balls on why don't I respond. I know exactly how it feels to text someone and not get answers back. It s..ks. I've already told her "I don't respond unless its important, I'm trying to detach". Seems she's not happy unless she's controlling the situation.

You need to be a person a fool would leave, by acting as if.

It appears lately the burden has been extra high, and that is foreseeable with the papers coming your way. But part of this is doing more of the things that speak to her (aka the reasons she fell in love with you). You aren't showing here that by smoking more and saying hurtful things.

As for the texts, those texts are a bond, she is sending them b/c she wants to keep you close even though she is pushing you away. I wouldn't say anything about them. They are an opportunity, select the ones to respond to that keep you in a good light... handle the other ones with strength and grace.
