anyone have any advice or resources to help build a case for joint-shared custody of my kids...I am in Alberta Canada.
Right now she wants 100% of everything and does not want me to have any say on -education, cultural & spiritual upbrining, medical authorization etc...

I know shes fuming mad about me calling her on her affair and I am gonna try to reason with her before lawyers are called.

Thanks ahead of time

Hi Rayzz. I live in Ab as well. I have been told by my lawyer that the courts now a days look very closly at and lean toward joint or 50/50 custody of the kids. Things that help are if you are not the one that moved out. If your work schedule you can be with kids often. Things that don't help your case is if your W can work from home etc while you have to send kids to day care while you are at work. Also what they call status Quo. Where what has been happening for the last year. ie, kids with W for most or all of the time they will want as little change as possible. It gets a little sticker with younger kids as I see you have a 3 year old. But I do know a guy who got 50/50 with a 2 year old. You can usually get a good lawyer consult for fairly cheap. Mine was 150 for consult and she was very highly recommended. I was also able to do the consult over the phone while at work. Hope this helps. I am also trying for this right now as myself and my W are going through mediation
