I guess I needed more practice facing my fears because while driving to work today the brake light came on in my car. I've had the brakes go out once before and never want that experience again...
and then I noticed this strange banging sound located somewhere in the vicinity of the driver's side wheel. I got to where I was going and called the mechanic. He said bring it in.
So I drove to the garage in rush hour traffic, hoping all the way that I would make it. (I have AAA and probably should have had it towed)
So, due to bad bushings and torn sleeves and worn out belts I spent 1K that I hadn't expected to so I guess I'll keep that balance on the credit card a while longer.
When someone asked me what was wrong with the car I said "When they start throwing all those terms at me it's like trying to explain the intricacies of a woman's reproductive system to the uninitiated. You know, those who say "She has problems 'down there'" and point in a southerly direction.
I'm off tomorrow to help my niece with her 2 wk old twins and 19mo old toddler for a few days. Wish me luck!

Oh Bug- Glad to hear you sound good. I would give about anything to have some time with new twins. I know with my own I was so overworked I barely remember it. I can certainly relate to your fears. I do many things because of fear. I really have to address it and try to determine what is a legit concern and what is unfounded. Some things are realistically things that need to be considered. Others are just in my head. Fears I brought with me from my past.
