Very crappy weekend. The short story is W left a note on the counter saying she was going to poker run on Sat. when she was done with work. This is the same poker run that she took OM to last year and really started the end of our M.

She went with one of her no account friends from work that is telling her to get out of the M. Talked to some of her family that was there and OM was not.

She called me at 9:00 that night and asked me to come over to her sister's house because BIL was drunk on whiskey and scaring the kids and kept trying to get out of the house. She brought their two kids to our house and I went to sit with my SIL. She was scared and crying. I went for her and not for my W. Talking to her that night - neither of us slept - she agreed that my W had changed and that she or her family didn't agree with what she had done or what she was doing. She also said that she was borrowing money from her dad and planned on filing for D herself.

I am not shocked or surprised. My question is what would be the advantage of filing first? I have read here to let her file and do all the work. I have also read where it is showing her that I am done and to file myself, to lead.

My L has the paperwork ready. She is waiting on my call and then I will need to go in and sign things and she will file them in court and my W will be served.

Again, is there any advantage to me doing this or wait for her and file a counter motion and be aggressive from there?

BTW, W started her new job today. A lot of talk about getting back to normal and telling the kids that mom and dad will be home in the a.m. and both help with their homework and such. I know words don't mean anything from her.

Just looking for the best tactical advantage, I guess. I know the kids will know I tried everything I could. It's time for this to end.
