Do you know the Divine Mercy Chaplet? I've prayed it during troubled times and it is very helpful. I did pray for a specific intention (even if it sounded like a stupid one like "Let my W love me again") each time.
Me 42 W 39 Married: 11 Jan 1998, T: Since 1992 First Bomb: Sep 2007 Confirmed A/OM: 4 Nov 2007 Kids: D10, S5 Reconciled and together again after (alot of) time and heartbreak. 3rd kid, S, born 2 Jan 2010.
I have done that chaplet many times. Asked for the same intention. The novena to St. Joseph contains an intention request. I ask for the softening of my wife's heart, that we are open to communication and can begin to heal our M, and that we end up together, in-love, and committed to our family.

I'm very excited for you and your wife. You have no need to worry about the weekend or the results. Let God work on you and your wife in the moment this entire weekend. I will find time to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for you and everyone else on this board. May God's healing grace be with you.

Orich, you have taken a lot from those of us here on the board, so I think that says quite a bit about you. You haven't given up! Before you leave this weekend, I want to tell you one last time that I had given up on ever having any desire to work at a MR with my H. I was emotionally divorced! I was through, even though I didn't walk away.....I was done. I tell you this to encourage you that God can put a "want to" back in the heart of your W. You are a man of faith and the object of that faith is "tops". I think all of us will be full of prayers & hope that you will come home with the news that your W has reached the point that she is willing "to be willing" to work again. I can tell you that it is hard for a WAW to do that, but it is very possible. God is on your side of this troubled M and He is going to do His part and He is going to help you and give you words to say and if you will do as Deep said and place it all in His hands......I believe this retreat will mark a new beginning for your M. I have beat you up at times, but I was only trying to toughen you up......but now, I hope you will surrender everything to the Lord and trust Him to work through the program, the people, "everything" that happens this weekend.....to open the heart of your W. She has had a closed heart to you Orich, but God can open it again and she can feel all the love she had on her wedding day. May God rain His richest blessings down on the both of you.

Thank you so much Sandi. I feel encouraged. Today w was talkative, even made more eye contact than usual. She even bought my mom birthday presents from us and the boys. She went out with girlfriends from her old job tonight and left her rings home, but I actually feel fine about it. I only bring that up to illustrate my attitude right now.
