I called it confidence without bravado.
Now I had young Marines who had not gone to war yet had extreeme confidence to the point of arrogance but that is necessary for them to do what we tell them for the first time.

Have fun

Swimmer, how about, what do we find attractive about ourselves? You know? What is it, if we have it goin' on, we think we're the bomb?

Hi AO
I must have got tarred and they forgot the feathers.

I believe probably the one thing people find attractive is the lack of needyness. Hard to do when one is hurting but I believe necessary when doing the soul searching.

when you don't NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED it is when you will find it

my mom said that when you realize you don't need someone, a happy healthy well-adjusted person will come into to your life to ADD to it

because no one can complete what should be completed by you alone

Ok, I'd like to let you know what I think is attractive.

I like someone with personal style and a neat appearance. The does not mean they have to be drop dead gorgeous, but that they maintain what they have - ie - take care of their teeth, hair, clothing, shoes, personal hygiene etc. If they are sloppy or too casual about these things that would be a MAJOR turnoff for me.

On a personal level I have always been drawn to brown eyes - isn't that funny? Neither my H nor my boyfriend have brown eyes. I did have one "crush" that melted me with those eyes, though. I like natural blonde hair or very dark hair. I do find a bit of silvering or salt and pepper to be very distinguished. I wouldn't colour it.

I like a man with self confidence without being arrogant. I adore a good sense of humour - not a joker or a tease, but one who is witty without being too silly. Example: On Sunday I was with my dad, brother and boyfriend. Said to my dad "Men have selective hearing". At the same moment boyfriend said "Pardon Me" and brother said "What did you say?". That, to me is natural humour and how could I not laugh?

I like a man who is not afraid to make arrangements and who likes to please me (in and out of the bedroom). If I say "What do you want to do" and he always replies "I don't know - what do you want to do" - I would get tired of that real fast. Be decisive!

Similar or different? Well, I think you should enjoy some similar interests. For Josh and I - that would be Travel, Scrabble, Fine Wine and Gourmet Dining. You need some common ground or you won't have much you can share. But its ok to have some things you enjoy without a partner - who wants to be stuck together all the time? But be respectful and understanding of the other person's hobby or interest. As for them being similar or different from your ex - I choose different. There is too much about my ex that I would rather forget. Josh is not much like my ex at all. It is more of an adjustment to me at this stage in my life but it is refreshing non the less.

I like a man who knows the importance of family. If he treats his family well - it speaks well of him.

Sometimes attractiveness is just a special feeling. Not something we can put our finger on but when we meet that person - there is an undeniable spark. And that speaks volumes.

I had met several guys for coffee dates and felt nothing. When I met Josh I just got butterflies. I walked on clouds all the way home. I knew I wanted to see him again and again.

So, there ya go.
