It's my birthday today. Kids came to see me in the basement this morning to say happy birthday. Wife cold as ice and bitter as can be. One grunt answers to all questions. After she filed for D on son's b-day, I wonder what she'll do today to remind me that I don't matter and that she doesn't care anymore. For someone who says she wants no part of me, I sure to occupy a lot of her attention, but mainly as the focus of her anger and vindictiveness.
I'm really getting sick of this.
But tonight I'm going to dinner with friends and family who do care about me. I arranged a baby sitter so I can come home after my W goes to work and I don't have to see her at all! Plan was not to see her today at all, but there was no pre-school today for S3 so they were home in the morning and I could not avoid her.

Happy Birthday~~ you enjoy dinner with your friends and family! My H filed for D one week b/f your wife. The day after MY b-day. It is a horrible feeling and sickening when your M comes down to what is on paper. My H is out of the house...just left...
Don't let this crap get you down...eat cake, drink wine, do whatever makes you happy today....On my b-day I projected what I would feel like a year down the road...I think I will be happier or on my way to a new life with my kids.... try it you may just be surprised!

This made me laugh. Thanks for the b-day wishes everybody. No more mood altering chemicals for me (I've had my share...), but short of that I will enjoy every sensual and spiritual pleasure I can tonight: good food, good friends, good conversation, laughter, love and support.
